Having lots of fun with my "$27" .6 mm Dillo stub, with R&K Alt Bordeaux.  Which is great in it, but I think I will go back to Noodler's Red-Black as the absolute perfect ink for this pen.

Also just reloaded my white tortoise with Noodler's Golden Brown, all is right with the world once again.

Sounds like a great choice, Sonia.

Ron

PS I am using the Parker "51" Vac that I recently purchased from Ryan with my custom mix of Blue/Black, plus a Legacy II with Copper finish and a wet, fine nib.
Taki
Bexley AtB Blue w/ Diamine Tropical Blue
Sheaffer Balance Ebonized Pearl w/ Diamine Indigo

It's definitely (American) football season. I read your post a couple of times as a "red Marv Levy" pen. blink.gif

(For those who don't follow US football or whatnot, Marv Levy is the general manager for the Buffalo Bills and one of their greatest head coaches in recent memory. Of course, the recent coaches have left something to be desired....)

RE: pens I'm using today -- Parker 51 aerometric desk pen (medium nib) with Noodler's Blue and Parker 51 vacumatic with Noodler's Legal Lapis.

Today, it was mostly my Pelikan M200 amber demo with a Binderized cursive italic nib; Pelikan M200 blue demo with round medium nib; and silver Sensa Meridian with a medium nib.

Don't ask me to name the ink colors because I'm too tired at this point.

RyanL27, your pen looks beautiful in that shot.
lisa
My Waterman Kultur has arrived today and I've inked it with waterman blue black. And with this pen this ink is actually a shae of blue instead of green. So, lot of love for the kultur today. biggrin.gif
James P
Danitrio Raw Ebonite Densho, with XF flex nib. It's filled with PR Black Magic Blues and writes oh so beautifully.
Bill Wood
Pelikan Level 5 - standard Pelikan blue - notes with a Waterman Expert II - Noodler's Gulf Stream Blue.

My beloved white tortoise Pel with Noodler's Golden Brown; Phileas F with Tahitian Pearl; Legacy II with Legal Lapis; Pel 200 with Levenger's Pinkly.

I'm using a new one today:

It's a 1980's W. German m400 with an amazing 14k medium nib. I traded for this with a fellow FPNer, and I'm supremely happy. It came mint, and you can still see the barrel sticker (which I'll take off soon).
jeen
Nice pen Ryan! I've got a very similar 400 in brown cap and brown tortoise body.
Love that trimless section!

Here's what i used today -

Montblanc Oscar Wilde wih Montblanc sepia. This one makes me smile when
I'm writing. Its nib is a joyful thing. smile.gif
RyanL27
drool.gif Wow Jeen - my m400 may indeed be nice, but that Oscar Wilde is gorgeous! I love the cap and barrel combination - unique and classic all at the same time. Nice choice.

I finally have my grandpa's Sheaffer back from OldGriz, and it's a joy. Here's a pic of my pocket protector and it's contents today.

The FP is the aforementioned Sheaffer Jr, filled with Noodler's Ottoman Azure.
The BP is a no-name garage sale pickup, made in Taiwan. I'm not fond of it, but it looks okay and I do like to have a BP for writing on thermal paper.
The lead holder is my preferred drawing pencil. It's old, but I know nothing about the manufacturer. The only marking on it is the number "5611" faintly engraved near the button. Currently, it's loaded with a 2H lead. I added the clip myself, stolen from a Pentel MP.
The eraser is a Pentel Clic.

Today I'm using my Namiki Wildflower with a medium nib and Sheaffer brown, ST Dupont Midnight Blue Orpheo with a Binderized medium nib and Omas blue, and Montblanc Boheme gold doue rollerball. I'm equipped for fun with any writing task today!
monster
today I'm using:

Wality #69 with a Sheaffer M italic nib

Pelikan 150 with broad italic nib

several of my everyday pens are in desperate need of cleaning and service so my rotation is pretty slim

Today it's gonna be a Rotring Freeway, strainless steel with a medium nib. After about 4 years of use, it's smoothed down to a beautiful medium-wet write. Feels like happiness biggrin.gif

Sadly, my camera is kaputt and I can't find a good picture online angry.gif

Waterman Ici Et La, Esterbrook CA101, gray Esterbrook J

Using and absolutely loving this purplish Waterman Phileas I bought from yiterp recently in the marketplace. This was one of the pens recommended to me as a great starter pen, and indeed it is! I would be quick to recommend a used Phileas to anyone looking to get into FP's, it writes extremely well and it a very good looking pen. It makes filling out bank forms fun! Also, it has made me realize I am more of an M nib writer then an F nib. I love those thick lines! Using Noodler's Blue-Black.

My daily user might change when I receive my Pelikan m205 demonstrator from Richard and the blue alphaplus from doc. drool.gif :bunny1:

By the by, FPN has the best smilies on the internet, IMO. The Drool/Bunny1 combo is among the most satisfying I've encountered to emote almost any emotion.

Today I'm using my Parker 45. This is the first time I've used this pen at work, and I absolutely love it. I've never written with a 51 before, but if the 45 is supposedly the budget version of the 51, then I know I'm in for a treat.

M Nib, Noodlers Blue-Black.

Received two "Big Red" Duofolds back from Richard this week. After his magic, they look great and are a joy to write with. I still appreciate modern pens, but more and more I find myself drawn to pens that my grandfather enjoyed.
Dawn
Today I am using my MB Starwalker with blue/black ink, Estie LJ with Sonias Golden Greener, Sailor 1911 with Waterman Havanna and my Osmiroid italic pen with Parker black ..... practicing for the competition!

Hey Amin, good to see you back. smile.gif
Today's companions -

L-R
Cross Century sterling RB, Aurora 88 fine with 1:1 Florida & South
Seas blue, 146. Binderized fine with Montblanc black, Omas Paragon
Milord, medium with Aurora blue.
The case is Levenger's Pen Parapet.
French
Today my 'new' Sheaffer Snorkel f 14K nib Noodler's red-black and my blue $27 pen M steel nib, Noodler's Legal Lapis
Richard
I took the Waterman 452 out of my Piquadro yesterday, and into its slot I slipped a Newark-made Ingersoll ringtop with a marvelous semiflex nib:

The Piquadro's other slot, as always, is home to my double-jewel Blue Cedar "51":

Hey Amin, good to see you back. smile.gif

Jeen, thanks. My life has been crazy of late. Still try to look in as often as possible on the Parker forum, but haven't posted in a while. Things are getting better and I'll be around here more again smile.gif.
Maja
Today I'm using a navy blue Parker '17' Lady fountain pen with a great left oblique nib. I got it on Ebay with a few other writing instruments a while ago; it has a cracked cap but it doesn't bother me at all as the nib is so wonderful. smile.gif
I can't remember which ink I filled it with a week or so ago blush.gif
monster
the pens I am using today are two I bought last week from Dennis.

Sheaffer Craftsman with a #5 Feather Touch nib - nice wet line and smooth

Esterbrook cartridge pen (unknown model) with a fine steel nib converted to an eyedropper - nice fairly wet line and unbelievably smooth.

both are exceptional writers and were in perfect working order. I am assuming that Dennis restored both of them. If so, great work Dennis.

Today's pen was a Midnight Blue Parker "51" aero with GF converging lines cap that I was finally able to eliminate a slow hood leak in with some shellac (thanks Dennis smile.gif)

It actually seems to write better now for it.
wspohn
Today - Sailor 1911, Parker 75 gold barleycorn, Sheaffer targa in blue lacque, Sheaffer Legacy ll in Kings Gold, and a Parker 75 BP in Ecorce.

PS - anyone that finds me a 75 FP in Ecorce gets my undying gratitude (as well as a handful of cash).
futhark
Three pens in the rotation right now:

Conway Stewart 286 (1940s?) in marbled green, with Parker's Blue-Black;
Waterman's 52 1927 (it is engraved on the pen), with PR Tanzanite;
Esterbrook SJ (1950s?), blue pearl, with Waterman's Green.

Today, I'm using my Black Pelikan m805 with a fine nib that was smoothed by Deb Kinney. She did wonders with this nib, which was originally quite scratchy in one direction. It's officially the best writer I've got at the moment ("at the moment" because I have a big box from Richard shipping tomorrow biggrin.gif ).
Tassos
I lately use for everyday writting a fine nibbed black Noblesse Oblige of Mont Blanc, which is okay for keeping notes and writting on smooth non-glossy papers. I just quit from my several Parker Frontiers, and I find the MB very solid and lovely to use.
KendallJ
Today was my maroon PFM. Great pen. Holds a ton of ink!
fpweasle
Just ran a Parker Reflex dry and soon a Sheaffer Cartridge Pen will be dry. Then it's on to my Parkette Zephyr.
jeen

Montblanc 149 for catching up on notes this w-end.
DilettanteG
A Rotring B Art Pen with a black Rotring cartridge.

My Crane's Manuscript unlined journal is defeating everything else I have inked. Writing on that paper is like writing on a dry sponge!
sonia_simone
Ah, I hate paper like that! I've had good luck with a soggy little fire hose like my Pelikan Go!, though.

Just inked a bunch of things. In use today for some overdue snails were:

Legacy II with Waterman Blue-Black
Lamy Safari with Noodler's Shah's Rose
Pelikan Go! with Diamine Emerald
Esterbrook 9048 with Noodler's Walnut
Pel 150 with Noodler's Ottoman Rose
Phileas F with a new moss green mix (Diamine Emerald & Noodler's Golden Brown 4:1)

and the usual Mottishaw Falcon w/Aircorps Blue-Black and .6mm stub Dani $27 with Red-Black, for the wild hair project.
dwmatteson
It's a busy day for writing!

General recordkeeping and correspondence:
  • Navy gray aerometric Parker 51 special with Aurora Black
  • Brown Waterman's Ink-vue with Pelikan 4001 Blue-Black.
Grading:
  • Green Parker 21 with SwishMix Emerald.
  • Blue Esterbrook J (9550 nib) with Noodler's Cayenne.

Today the pen of choice was my Pelikan m605. The nib on this pen is a narrow stub, so it works well for normal, everyday writing. My Namiki VP was also present in the pen case, but it just seemed like a good day to be using the Pelikan. smile.gif

TMann

My Pelikan m605. (Pardon the funny colors in the photo. That pen is actually a very pretty dark blue color.)

Today I've written with my Waterman fountain pen for the very first time.
I just bought it less than a hour ago (!) Gosh, I didn't want to spent so much (I'm still a poor student you see), but I couldn't let go of this particular pen... It's a Hémisphère Waterman in blue.
I think I'll have to eat beans and pancakes this month.

Well here it is..
lisa
Looks like the same nib as the one on my Apostrophe. If it's just as nice as mine or better you must be very happy with it. Your grip looks more comfortable.
Congrats on the new pen. Hope you enjoy it a lot! smile.gif
Rosevecay
Oh, I'm afraid I bought the Hémisphère pen for far too much Euro's. Online is cheaper, but I wanted to feel the pens first and try some out. You are very fond of Waterman fountainpens I presume?
Today I've written with it again and must say, that I have to get use to the nib. I had a Waterman before with a medium nib I think.

Just one for tomorrow... my Mont Blanc Generation Rollerball I have carried in my suit for the past year has now been replaced.

My latest ebay purchase arrived today, a blue section Parker 25 Flighter - loaded with Waterman Florida Blue. This will now be my daily user / carry pen.

This pen reminds me of my school days, and feels so retro cool.gif

Wonder whether I should get some PR Supershow DC Blue for it or stick with my Waterman ink??? Decisions, Decisions
Bernie0104
Two today! A black laque Waterman Laureat with a medium nib, loaded with Waterman Havana Brown, and a BRAND NEW Lamy ST medium using Waterman Florida Blue!

Wayhey!

Yeah!!!

Parker 25... that takes me back! I've been looking at these lately on Ebay - fancy having one again after all these years. Great for daily use. Do they write as smoothly as I remember? For a relatively inexpensive pen, I seem to recall that they were buttery smooth (at least mine was)!

Incidentally, will they take the modern Parker piston converter?

Bernie.

Today, it was the following:

Old Faithful, the Lamy Flame, for a little moleskinerie and general notetaking, and my Waterman that still has yet to be ID'd (although I'm Googling away as we speak), for some sales and marketing free-writing.

I forgot how much I like this Waterman!
