For the first time in a while, today I inked my Aurora 88 (modern). I used R&K Verdigris, which I recently received and wanted to try in this pen, with has a customized medium cursive italic nib. I've noted that the look of Verdigris depends very much on the pen, and this is a wonderful combination.

Today it was (its night time in The Land Down Under) :

1.my favourite 1946 '51',black and silver,medium wet line ;and

2.the cool PFM V .

Tomorrow I am thinking a little Post War Sheaffer Tuckaway in baby blue with a shiny wavy gold cap and the little July 1976 date marked Pilot "Myu" , still with his little price sticker (Thanks again to Russ S in Tokyo). Both small enough to slip in a pocket.

Finished up a converter full of Golden Greener in the Phileas (F) and the last of the Diamine Umber in the White Tortoise. Put some nice Lie de The in the modified flexy Falcon, which looks really swell. And loaded the white Safari with Diamine Emerald, which may be a new favorite. Love it.

Pondering what I should load up next.

Lately, I have grown a taste for Manuscript's Folded "Butterfly" nibs (Medium). The subtle scractchiness on paper is savoury after using nothing but super-smooth nibs.

The shaps of the nib tip is so that's it's kinda like an inverted stub (ie: Thicker lines horizontal, thinner lines vertical)

They're a joy to write with for pages and pages of notes.

Hi

I'm conservative. I'm using a Burgundy Parker 51 aeromatic at the moment. The next pen on the monthly rota is a Black Duofold (the big one)

Have my Pelikan 215 in my shirt pocket as I have all weeks.

Last weekend I took the 30" right-foot oblique out of my "Katie Hill" and the Arabic out of my clear demonstrator and put back the nibs with which they started.

The 30" is in the 215 now and I'm enjoying the heck out of it! It had kind of gotten set aside when I got the Arabic but now I remember why I love this one. I'm right handed, but hold the pen sideways almost like a left-hander. This nib and the Arabic are the only ones that give me broad downstrokes and narrow horizontals. To tell you how strange that is, the intent of the Arabic is that it will give broad horizontals!

By the way, I suspect that this 30" right-foot is unique. Richard had not made any others at the time I got this one from him. (And since it's a pen and nib I got from Richard, it has Waterman Blue/Black in it.)

Having lots of fun with my "$27" .6 mm Dillo stub, with R&K Alt Bordeaux. Which is great in it, but I think I will go back to Noodler's Red-Black as the absolute perfect ink for this pen.

Also just reloaded my white tortoise with Noodler's Golden Brown, all is right with the world once again.

Today was my black Eversharp Skyline with Waterman's Blue-Black, an ink quickly becoming my favorite smile.gif
