Using my newly arrived (yesterday) Jinhao X450, and my Classic Pen Set (not to be confused with Classic Pens -- this was a $19.95 set of 6 pens and a lifetime supply of refills sold at drugstores) fountain pen. Both lovely. Yesterday was definitely a good day!

Today, I mostly used my new (to me) Sheaffer Snorkel Clipper. It's grey with a fine-medium nib. I think it is the smoothest writing experience I have had yet.

Today I ran out of the house without my pens and so I had to make do the WHOLE DAY with only a Visconti Van Gogh Mini rollerball.

I regularly use an Aurora fountain pen. It's probably 15 years old and it writes as if it were new. I have yet to find anything smoother.

Recently, I found a second Aurora fountain pen -- an "88" R, 802, that I received about 12 or 13 years ago as an award. I never used it, put it in my drawer where it has remained. Can anyone tell me anything about it? The box says, "precious gold plated version. Solid gold nib."

Is/was this a limited edition? Is it collectible and might anyone have an idea of what it might be worth???

Thx.

Mostly using my new copper colored $33 Danitrio from winedoc. Got it on Friday (thanks Kevin, sorry, should have let you know sooner) Inked it today at work. Nice smooth medium/fine nib, just like my other Danis except for the one I had Dillo turn into an F. Love it. Now I have to sell my black crosshatch pattern $33 pen I got from winedoc, which I don't care for because I don't like the pattern particularly, and my wife gives me that "What? Another pen?" look until I explain I am selling one to pay for it, because it is replacing the one I am selling. Anyone want a crosshatch $33 pen? I can take poor photos if you wish.

Donnie, your post about $33 pen was 3333th post in this thread! biggrin.gif

I just used Platinum Preppy with BSB today so far. Will be doing some writing tonight with NN Old Timer with Pilot Shou-ro, and NN stainless steel with FPN Van Gogh. Probably will use Ujuku pen with Fla Blue again, too.
Sailor Kenshin
World's longest thread?

Today, or rather this week, I'm using two Pilot Petit 1s---one brown, one azure, and I just opened up a Preppy in blue after the awful experience of my yellow Preppy. The blue is way much lots better. I'm also writing with one of those fi-dolla Stypens, with PR American Blue ink (really nice ink, must get other colors).

There's also a Pelikano that's just about written out, and, standing by, my Sailor callig model filled with a custom blue ink, and a deep evergreen Hero with ink to match.

I just picked up an Aikin Lambert BCHR and I've been using that all day. It's slightly flexi and took a little getting used to, but it's a very nice writer.

Greenville, how far away are you? This is for southpaw, the orange pen.

I started a business trip in US. Loaded in my bag are:
- Aurora Optima w/Pelikan Royal Blue (ehi! the flow improved a lot!)
- Sailor 1911M w/Sailor Black... juicy
- Pilot Vortex w/Quink red. Disappointing! it leaked a lot during the flight...

Ciao,
SteveH
Since I received my Black P51 Aero F nib (Blue Quink), I haven't used any other pen.
I've since bought a P51 M nib, but the F nib is sublime.

Today I was using my Pelikan M215 with smooth 'binder' F nib.

Decision made to sell or trade this pen as its just too uncomfortable to write with (too short). Back to my Parker 51 tomorrow.

Hey I just noticed I don't have waterman ink in the waterman, but I do in the Parker. And Parker Quink in the Waterman. How'd that happen?

Well, that's just about as much excitement as I can have for one day...

The two pens I ALWAYS have on me are my tried and true Parker Jotter (been through 2 motorcycle accidents and three years of abuse) and my new Lamy Safari. I use the Safari and CUSTOMERS use the Jotter.
