My wonderfully new Montblanc 149!

Sailor Professional Gear H-EF nib with J Herbin scented violet
Bexley Simplicity F nib with 1:3 mix of Diamine Yellow and Diamine Mediterranean Blue (matches the pen's teal pearl finish )

This week I put a beautiful steel patterned Parker 45 (shield pattern--harlequin?) back in use after mothballing it last year. It has a beautifully smooth fine steel nib. Dry-out resistance is pretty good--just a little extra nib pressure and it starts right up.

A tiny Parker 17 Lady.

Levenger True Writer, still with the Baystate Blue. I've never been particularly happy with how my True Writer performs, but I have to admit that it writes better with the BSB than with any other ink I've put in it.

This is my oldest pen and it was out of rotation for a long time. Will use it till Wednesday.

An Eversharp Skyliner - based Frankenpen that has had its section and nib replaced with unknown parts. I'm using Lamy Blue-Black (iron gall ink), as the nib is 14k and otherwise unremarkable.

When I inked up the Lamy, the Herbin looked a little weak to me. A browse back through my ink sample book showed that for the last year I've been mainly using much stronger inks - lots of PR.

I had two in my jacket today, and used both: a Pelikan M600 blue stripe (F) with Aurora blue-black ink, and a white Sailor 1911 (Italic) with Diamine Presidential Blue.

Now: my newly arrived Lunar Blue Taccia Staccato, f steel nib and Swisher's Glacier Blue. (After a flushing with water and a drop of ammonia, followed by a rinse in water and a bit of dish soap, this pen is writing perfectly.)

I also have a VP loaded with Noodler's Eternal Hunter Green for writing topic headings and such.

Today was a Targa / Taccia kind of day.
