Today my pocket cradles a silver "geometric" Duofold from 1939 and its companion pencil. The pen has a bellyful of Pelikan blue-black, and gives every appearance of enjoying the outing.

Today, while inputting all my 2006 receipts in time for my accountant to file my late 2006 taxes, I used a pen that just arrived in the mail: an Omas 2000 (fine nib) which I first filled with Noodler's Luxury Blue, then rinsed out and re-filled with PR DC Blue (liked this pen/ink combination much better).
Love the Omas...it's made dreary work so much better...

Today I'm using two pens because I'm writing their reviews after a long test period: a Waterman Expert II Dune Blue CT Medium and a Parker Frontier Blue Medium.
Next pen or two pens (some times I use them two by two) will be of high level. I like to alternate from entry to high level pens.

At the moment I'm using an antique Mabie Todd Swan 3173. I'm carrying a Bexley FPH special edition I got several years ago. It's an incredible writing pen with a distinctive woodgrain ebonite barrel and cap. Occasionally I write with a Signum Ornamenta. It writes pretty well but I like it more for its flashy appearance.

I will be using my new Sheaffer snorkel that I won on eBay just a week ago. Looks nearly brand-new, 2 very small black spots on the barrel, and 3 absolutely tiny letters, never seen a pen personalized with such tiny letters. Has an excellent fine nib, extremely smooth writer, that is one thing I have never argued about Sheaffer pens, those triumph nibs almost always are great writers. Other than some that had suffered obvious damage I have never run into a bad Triumph nib. Even the ones that did nothing for me wrote well and smoothly. This one I like, nice fine nib, one of the non-gold ones. The snorkel works just great, sucks up and expels properly. The TM Sheaffer is a bit too thin for me but writes so well that it is well worth not even noticing this minor detail.
On the second photo you can, barely, see the personalization.

Hi all,
I just joined up thanks to my friend Izzy linking me to here. Over the years I've had a Parker Duofold (flipped, and I regret it!) two Montblanc (hence forth, 'MB') Meisterstück 149s (M) of which was my Dads, and recently picked up a Meisterstück LeGrand (M).
In the collection is also a MB Meisterstück Amadeus Mozart Fountain. Again, I've had a Boheme, now flipped.
This weekend I picked up a Montegrappa Extra 1930 Black Bamboo, M nib...and it has rekindled my love for FPs again, and I hope to add a Duofold Centennial to the mix soon.

Today is a gray, over-cast, rainy blah-day. So to cheer me up I think I will be taking a couple of gray pens to work with me: My Parker 51 and my new Sheaffer Snorkel gray. To add just a touch of color I will also drag along my green marbled Sheaffer pencil with the gold turban. Inks will be Noodler’s, Fox Red in the Parker and FPN GMB in the Sheaffer.

I'm trying to use the Yafa fountain pen I bought about 3 weeks ago. When it's feeding ink it's a very smooth writing pen. Unfortunately it has a severe ink feeding problem and I can't seem to solve it.
I'm really new to the fountain pens. I really like writing with it, when it's working, I hope that not all of them are this much of a pain.

I received my Danitrio Tamenuri Mikado from Kevin a few days ago and I haven't wanted to write with anything else since. The pen, as many of you know, is enormous and yet it is light and shaped so that it fits into my fairly small hand beautifully. The nib is a "soft" fine. I've filled it with Noodlers Red Black (which approximates the color of the pen). I am an over the top left hander and the ink flow is such that I find no problem with smudging even using some pretty slick Clairefontaine paper.
I chose the clipless version since the pen really is too big to fit comfortably in a shirt pocket. The only marking on the pen (other than on the two-tone 18k gold nib) is the signature in Kongi of the artist in gold color on the section.
Maybe in time I'll tire of using it, but I wouldn't bet that way.
Now the question is what to do with the other 200 pens in my collection.
Since this is my first post, I'm not sure the image will show up. If it does, you should note that it is Kevin Cheng's, not mine.

I bought a few monnths ago a Nakaya Tamenury Writer long with clip with a medium fine flexible nib. It is very similar, in fact almost identical but mine has a very small converter. I contacted Nakaya for a larger converter and the answer was a polite "no no". I write at least two hour a day and the Sailor Naginata with a Togi nib ( which I live very much) has the same problem: a very small converter. I use a MB 149 and a Pelikan 800 but I love the long configuration of the Nakaya. Judginfg by the looks of your Danitrio it has a piston filled and it should be large enough. If it so, I would like to get in touch with Kevin about buying one. Thanks for your time and a reply. Vervavolant

Generally I use each for about half a day and then get the next one.

I always maintain fifteen to twenty inked pens on my desk and ready to go. No more "work" for me, since I retired on July 9th, but I still alternate my pens on a daily basis and never leave the house without one in my pocket.
- This morning I wrote some checks and caught up on some correspondence with my sterling silver Sailor 1911 with a broad nib (writes like a medium) that was adjusted to my hand by Nagahara several years ago when I purchased it at the D.C. Supershow. He is a master and it is still smooth as silk. I'm using a Sailor black ink cartridge in the 1911.
- After lunch my attorney came by the house with a copy of my revised will to sign. For that task I used one of my beautiful handmade Joe Cali creations with a vintage Omas nib and filled with Waterman Havana ink.
-This afternoon I'm meeting a Kenyon College student who plans to attend arts management school following graduation to talk with him about the fundraising component of his study. ( I worked for twenty years in Kenyon's development office.) In my pocket will be my Conway Stewart Churchill (#154/500 in a grey/pearl color and filled with a Rotring Dakota Black cartridge.
Black is my usual ink of choice. Normally it's Aurora in a bottle or the black cartridge of the manufacturer who makes the pen. I was and remain upset that Rotring Dakota Black is no longer available in bottles - and even hard to find in cartridges.
During what my wife refers to as my midlife crisis, I added Waterman Havana to my selection of ink. For some reason, I just don't like to use blue of any shade, but then most of the fountain pen people I know are quirky in some respect.
