My pen of the week is my lovely Wing Sung 233, in mocha (thanks, Norman!), loaded with our own Galileo Manuscript Brown. Both are recent acquisitions. Some Asian nibs are scratchy in my experience, but not this one, it's very smooth and started right up. It's an excellent pen for $15! It might even outperform my Hero 100. Galileo is a nice brown too.

It's 92 here in Raleigh. I can't wait for autumn. Or at least, a good, soaking rain, accompanied by a lovely lightning show.

Broke out the Pelikans for today! Pel Grand Place with Binderized 1.1 mm crisp italic with PR Black Cherry and Pel 400 Soverign blue stripe fine point with Levengers Cobalt.

Good morning, everyone!! Where is JD? I had my ALDI German Roast Coffee already. Not sure of the outside temp, but it seems much cooler today.

I will be using my Sailor Sapporo with a mixture of PR Tanzanite, Noodler's Black and a bit of Glacier Blue at work.
Lloyd
I'm trying different inks in my Pilot custom 743 with FA nib. While Pilot BB was great, PR Chocolat and Noodlers RedBlack couldn't keep up with the flexing. Now, I'm feeding it the same ink blend that's in my fine nibbed Prera, Levenger Cobalt/Pilot Blue/Noodlers Black. I've also got my Estie J with PR Chocolat with me.

Today I'm using two new arrivals with Quink Black: A Parker 51, and a Sheaffer Feathertouch, both very smooth writers smile.gif
gregkoos
Sweet little c1930 Schaeffer Junior. Fine nib, good flow, just inked after reworking it.

I spent today bouncing back and forth among:

Brown Waterman's Ink-Vue with Aurora Blue,
Green-stripe Pelikan 400NN with Aurora Black,
Kristal Waterman Kultur with Waterman Black cartridge, and
Green Sheaffer Triumph Imperial with Sheaffer Turquoise cartridge.

Cleaning pens today to store them for two months...

Still using my "new" Parker "51" with Luxury Blue.
Taki
Used my orange VP with Pilot Blue Black cartridge after reading Sonia's post. Also used Sapporo Mini with my Tanzanite, Noodler Black and Glacier Blue, now diluted with water.
Shangas
Long time no post.

Recently, I have been using my Parker 51 Flighter a LOT. Every single day. I just find the nib so smooth and the pen itself is so damn tough. It's the only one that I can really trust to put up with my truly aggressive university note-taking. It works wonderfully.
jd50ae
Coffee coffee coffee.
Good morning all of you where it is morning. If it isn't morning, how the heck are ya?
63F and sunny. I tell ya what, when it gets to be September 1st there is no fooling around.

Today I am using my OldGriz Dragon with my own ink mixture of Dragon Red and one of my M800s with PR American Blue.

Hello all,

Finally, the high today will be less than 90 degrees here in the Tar Heel State, after being more than 90 (and for a time, more than 100) for almost the whole of August.

Today, I will be using my Pilot 78G stub in cinnabar red with Noodler's SwishMix Nile Ebony.

Waterman Ideal with a 14kt italic nib thumbup.gif

Nuthing!! None, zip zilch, nada! Good morning all! A glorious morning here, the air is much cooler. I'm heading outside to ride my bike, and work in the yard and enjoy being off and ignore my desk, pens and computer! (we'll see how long that lasts!!)

I'm grading my first batch of sadistic statistics homework with my charcoal Lamy Safari XF, filled with Diamine Orange. Fun!

For me it's a Sailor 1911 with music nib (Japanese version) jotting down random "ventings" and stuff. A Pelikan M605 Piccadilly too. Noodler's Eternal Black and PR Lake Placid Blue, respectively.

Good morning all!! Beautiful morning here cool and dryer. Drinking coffee, reading the paper and getting ready for Church this morning. Looks like my Pelikan 400 filled with Levengers Cobalt will be in use this morning for taking notes in Sunday School. My Burgundy Parker 45 for my Journal and I plan to play around with a little calligraphy practice this afternoon with my Binderized crisp italic Pel Grand Place. Hope your day is full of blessings!

Still using my two latest arrivals Sheaffer Feathertouch LF with Quink Black & Parker "51" Special with LuxBlue - both a pleasure to write with.
Got them on the Marketplace (thanks, luckygrandson)!

Now for another cup of coffee...

A newly arrived Namiki facetted "Stealth" VP received from another FPNer as a swap and an Esterbrook copper "J" with a smooth old 2314-B both full of Diamine blue.

The Stealth is very cool and James Bond. A very "blokey" pen, to borrow from the Australian vernacular. The 2314-B writes just like a felt tipped marker.

Today I am using my favorite pens -- for the first time in a month, because I thought I lost them. They are all Pilots, two 78Gs, one black with Noodler's la Coleur Royale, the other Green with Pelikan Green, and two Crystals, one each with the same inks. When I got in my car to go to work this morning, the pen case was sitting on the back floorboard, having apparently been stuffed under the driver's seat, when I thought I had lost it in another city while perusing antique shops about a month ago. Watching after grandkids in antique shops, it was easty to get distracted, and I could not for the life of me remember what I had done with my pens, so I assumed I had set them down in a shop.

I am happier about pens than I have been in ages!

Great news! Glad you found them, I remember how upset you were at losing them.

Good morning all. This week I will be using my Aurora Mare with Aurora blue and an old optima red (with red ink). I will also be trying out a new Conway Stewart Clogau Gold with a great XF nib. At home I sometimes pick up the MB 146 or a Lamay 2000.
pakmanpony
Good morning all. Today I'll be using my trusty Pelikan 400 with Levengers Cobalt, my Pelikan Grand Place with a Binder crisp italic and PR Chocolat and my Parker 45 ef with Noodlers Burgundy. Later I hope to find the time to play with some new pens I picked up at my pen club meeting last night!

Hello everybody. What a beautiful day. Cloudy and dreary skies full of the promise for rain. Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain...

Today I am using one of my cheap and ugly Chinese pens with a re-worked stub nib.

Today, it's a Blue Kasuri VP with a fine nib, a Lamy 2000 with an XXF nib, and a Cross Solo with an XF nib. VP and 2000 loaded up with Waterman Florida Blue, and the Solo is loaded up with Mont Blanc Blue. On the pencil side, it's a Caran d'Ache FixPencil3 with 3mm 3B lead and an Ice Blue (yep, same color as the limited edition VP) Dr. Grip 0.5 shaker.

Wow, it rained. On half the yard for about 45 seconds.
Good morning everyone up and at em. Ummm, farm fresh eggs and toast with real butter.

Using another of those cheap ugly Chinese pens. Duke Shark with PR Velvet Black. Must be something wrong, feels so good and writes so smooth.

Good morning everyone.
Today, and the next few days I'll stick with the Parker "51" and luxury blue. Just keeping one pen inked now since I'll be traveling soon.

May I join in your happy group? I look at this forum (nosy thing I am) but haven't really posted, not that I can remember.

This is my "happy group" of pens in use:

Left to right:
* Waterman Carene with hand mixed teal ink
* my daughter's Lamy Smile (she wants me to use up the purple ink in it so she can put in blue, which is acceptable for homework use)
* my daughter's abandoned Online pen with WM purple cartridge in it;
* my purple Kultur with...uh, WM purple ink in it (is there a theme here?)
* my 146 with my hand-mixed Iron Peacock ink in it. I am trying to use up the ink in the reservoir to put the pen away until I get the piston looked at...it turns stiffly, which worries me. This, after all the trouble I went to clean it out after years of disuse. <sigh>

Although I am tempted, rather than to get the 146 cleaned out...to just buy a new pen! thumbup.gif

Looks like I have a lot of writing to do, much of it purple.

Of course!
Good luck with the MB piston...

I finally got around to breaking out the last of the pens I acquired at the DC show, and it's in the Piquadro now. This one is a Waterman 01856 that Howard Levy brought to me at the DC show this past August, saying that it needed to be mine. He was right. It's a lovely pen. And the nib, oh, the nib. It's a wet-noodle left-foot oblique stub that does wonderful things without my even having to work at it. Just think it, and it's there. Nice!

Today I use my new Lamy studio F fountainpen.
What a great pen, almost a perfect one for everyday use and a great design!

Today pen is my Parker 51 Special from the fifties, a gift from my father: he bought it in New York and this pen is still working and writing like a new one... Perfection. wink.gif
