My new light blue Prera with a fine nib loaded with Sailor Black. This pen writes an extremely fine line without being scratchy and the ink is surprisingly very water-resistant.

Today I received Kaweco Art Sport Samba. Inked with Herbin Violet Pansee. Nib is a bit too wide for me

and I might have it reground. I will use Sailor, too for journaling.

Happy Friday, ev ryone!!
Well, I am using the Kaweco today and it's really growing on me. Maybe the M nib is not bad after all. I had not used Violet Pansee for a long time and had forgotten what a nice color it is. Might need to get a bottle

My Sapporo Mini is in use also today.

1. Waterman Carene in Royal Violet, Fine nib, filled with PR Tanzanite. This one hasn't made it into the rotation lately but I think it's going to start seeing more action. I decided to ink it up after seeing some of the discussion about the Carene here on FPN. It is an exceptionally smooth, reliable writer.
2. Pelikan M1000, Fine nib, filled with Noodler's Black
3. Lamy Safari, 1.1 Stub nib, filled with Noodler's Blue Black

I'm practising spencerian penmanship. I'm a beginner. Today I tried a few penholders and nibs with different results. Finally I realised that the easier way to study this handwriting style to use a needle point.
So today I'm using an Xtra 894 needle point 0.3 (Shneider Germany). The only problem that this kind of writing instrument is very useful and you can make lines very similar like a fountain pen but without the feeling or a style of a fountain pen (even the cheapest version of a FP).
The development of my writing style is more important, so when I'm practising i think I will use this needle point and other cases my fountan pens and penholders etc. I hope the time is coming when I can use my new style easily with a fountain pen or a penholder with a good nib but for practising this writing instrument is the first step.

Hello everyone,
Today it's a Waterman Phileas with a medium nib which I just purchased yesterday. Wow, I'm surprised at how broad this medium nib is.

A little broader than I am used to but a smooth writer.
Also carrying with me my trusty old Sheaffer No Nonsense, dark green with medium nib.
My Aurora Ipsilon, M nib is inked and on standby on my desk.

Circumstances bumped my Sunday afternoon flush 'n' fill to Monday evening. That's the way it goes, sometimes. So the new set is all pistons and PR blues!
Stipula Etruria Nuda, 0.9 stub, PR DC Supershow Blue
Lamy 2000, M, PR Sonic Blue
Pelikan M405, Binder Italifine 0.9CI/F, PR Black Magic Blue
To think I'm the guy that used to hate blue ink...! These are all inks that benefit from being in these nice wet writers. Presence.

Other pens along for the ride:

I have too many pens inked this week, so I think I will be using most of my Pelikans this week:
the 140 black with FPN GMB,
the transparent red 200 with Fox Red,
the 400 with Noodler’s Black,
and the 800 with FPN GMB.
Got to empty and clean the Sheaffer OS black, the Esterbrook Dollar Pen, the black Vac, the Waterman 100 Year red transparent, the Inkograph.
But I think I will keep the Laughlin inked for fun at home, it is loaded with Noodler’s Blue. I am really getting to like this pen.

Today, I will be/am using my Pelikan M405 with my new Pelikan ink which arrived this morning.
I have to say, it works far better with the Pelikan than the Quink I was previously using. The line is finer now, which is a relief, flow is just as good: my enjoyment of this pen has now doubled to be almost on par with my Sapporo!

After 6 weeks of work in a great american city, this european student decided that it is time for a little shopping...fountain pen shopping that is.So i began with an online order for a Pilot Prera. This pen is without a doubt a wonder, from all points of view.It is quite inexpensive, but without having a cheap look.More than that ,it is a pen with style. The nib is excelent, very smooth, very fine, the finest i have so far. More on that on a soon to come Prera review...
But that was not enough...on one of my few days off,I walked into a FP store with the intention of buying a Lamy 2000 XF nib,but because they didn't have that on stock i made an order for it and i said to myself that i can't walk empty handed from that store. So I asked for a Vanishing Point F nib...not in stock...placed another order, payed another deposit, but still no pen in my hands. Then ,giving in to temptation,I bought a Blue/Black Pelikan 405...a wonder of a pen.It is amazing how the Pelikans have so much class...
And now I am waiting for the other two,to see if all the reviews were right...
So here I am...well over my budget...but now I am hanging out with the big boys
no more AAA fountain pens for me

Interesting and ironic placement -- immediately after this thread is a question about flossing a Hero 100, a flighter version of which I am using today. I am also using my Hero 616 maroon, a Pelikan M200 green swirl, a Pelikan Level 65, and a Sheaffer Lifetime Flattop (from Docnib), all with Noodler's la Coleur Royale. No broad (or even medium) lines for me today at the office.

Good morning everyone! I'm in visiting in Ohio and I have the ff. pens with me:
Sheaffer Feathertouch TD with Lux Blue
Sheaffer Junior Black & Pearl with Skrip Brown
Waterman Ideal #3 & Quink Black.
I let everyone try to write with them though I was a little worried about it. All pens survived intact.
