1. 'Matte Black' Parker Arrow, with Parker Penman Ruby ink, F nib. I used to dislike the Ruby ink, but now of course I love it. sad.gif

2. 'White Honey' Pelikan M400, with J Herbin Vert Olive ink, EF nib.

The Arrow is a student pen, and a tad slim for my liking, but it has one great nib. smile.gif

Black Parker 51 Aero with Quink Blue-Black...

What do you guys DO with all of those pens??? I mean, I might be able to justify two a day, since I do occasionally carry one that's a good writer, and one with a good flex for the signature...but that's about it...I'd love to hear what you guys use them all for.

Two Cheapies! Always cheapies. I hate the thought of losing a good one. I have had a beautiful green snakeskin Monogram lever filler in my pocket for two months. I love the way it writes but it drops ink. I have hopes that I solved the problem today with a new feed. I have also started carrying a Wearever bullet pen. Gets lots of comments and writes like a dream with a great bold script! Tackyrama

I just got my Navy Centennial Pinstripe Duofold back from a nib exchange that took 6 weeks - they had to send it to the UK - so that's been what I've been using all day, thought I did carry my Aurora 88 as a backup, and of course the VP and loaner vector I almost always carry.

Wality 77c, Asian M nib, mix of blue-black inks
Hero 100, F nib, mix of blue-black inks.
Senator, M nib, Waterman's Havana brown ink.

I'm trying to reduce to one blue-black inked pen at a time instead of having a half-dozen on my desk. I want to spend a week or 10 days with each pen and really get to know them. I discovered this was a good idea when I used only a Monteverde Sonata for a few days before taking it as my sole pen on a trip to Boston.

After a very busy week, these are the pens in my rotation:

  • Omas Tokyo (black) with Noodler's Navajo Blue
  • Sheaffer Intrigue Blue-blue with Pelikan violet
Tomorrow is another day...

Today was a Parker Big red I picked up recently on eBay. Really stiff, fine lined nib...not sure if I like the nib yet, especially considering my "51" lays down a wider line...lol. Little smoothing on brown paper, and some minute adjustment of the tines, and while it's still a fine line, it's also a lot wetter, and more consistent. I might be sending Richards way eventually...mmm, a stub biggrin.gif

Sailor Cisele - Noodler's Zhivago
Pilot Decimo - just got it last week, so it has Waterman BB inside to prime it.
Parker Duofold International - brought out to try the Penman Emerald carts I've just received from KCat. smile.gif9 (This pen will have to go for a nibswap though, the Fine is just a tad too broad for my liking)

I am working on reducing the number of pens I have inked. My method is to use a pen exclusively until it runs out. This is the pen I'm pulling from rotation and therefore is the"pen of the day" until it runs dry:

The nib and cap says "Silver Eagle" and the cap is stamped "sterling" It's a cartridge/converter pen. Does anyone know anything about this pen?
Richard
I don't know anything about your Silver Eagle, sorry. Pretty pen!

I have bowed to the inevitable, at least for the time being, and I'm now carrying (in addition to the "51") a ballpoint for signing those %^@$#! thermal credit-card receipts that clog my fountain pens. But it's not just any ballpoint, it's an Eversharp CA that I have converted to use Parker refills, and I have a gel refill in it:

JRodriguez
Today I'm carrying my Aurora 88 filled with Sheaffer Black, My Navy Pinstripe Duofold filled with Parker Black, and a VP filled with Private Reserve Burgandy Mist. That's a nice ballpoint Richard (if you have to carry a ballpoint, that is tongue.gif ).
