Good afternoon Taki, JD, all,

Today I'm using the Sapporo with a mix of Skrip Brown & Polar Black.

A cool day; we have a few days reprieve from the summer heat...

1. The Montblanc Meisterstuck 145 - Hommage to Fredrick Chopin. Excellent choice for a fountain pen! I have one myself, and it's just a wonderful writer.

2. Is that a hunter-cased pocket-watch with the US. Capitol on it? It looks like a beautiful watch...what can you tell me about it? (I think pocket watches are wonderful things).

Today, I have made use of:

My Parker 51 Flighter.

And, more extensively -

My Montblanc Meisterstuck 145 - Hommage to Fredrick Chopin. I was dong a lot of note-writing and memo-writing and all that...and this pen just flies over paper. Very useful when one has a lot of writing to do.
pakmanpony
Hi Shangas! Yes I agree the Montblanc Chopin is a very nice writer. The Watch is my first pocket watch. Mom gave it to me a couple of weeks ago while I was in the hospital for gall bladder surgery. I pretty sure it is a very low dollar watch she picked up at the hospital gift shop on sale. It is battery driven quartz movement and says Geneva as the brand. It does have the US capital on the front and what looks like tropical plants on the back. I'm no photography expert but I thought it might look good in the shot.
jd50ae
Hello Taki. Was not going to pick one today but I got talked into it.
It is soooooo muggy.
Shangas
I used my Montblanc Meisterstuck 145 rather extensively again today. So extensively that I had to fill it up, because I wrote it dry. LOL.

I'm beginning to notice that this is quickly becoming my everyday writer. It's so smooth to write with and such a charmer to look at. I think my CM Design pen might be heading for an early retirement.

Hello everyone!

Today is another Letter Sunday wink.gif My Pelikan M605 and Van Gogh Midi (both filled with WM Flordia Blue) are ready for some serious writing biggrin.gif

Best regards,
alex

My current favorites - I write a bit with each one.

Using my new Parker 45 flighter with Binder Blurple for my journal, flushing out my Brown Este and back to the pen case with it. Flushing out the Lamy 2000 to try another ink in it and to work on smoothing the nib a little. Playing with my new gold electoplate Parker 75 with Legal Lapis. And working a Sudoku and Sunday Crossword with my '29 Parker Duofold Streamlined Black and Pearl Sr. Pencil.
HLeopold
I am using the pen that dropped into my mail box yesterday, a Pelikan 400NN. Nice, a bit larger and more comfortable than my 140 black which is still pretty much my favorite small pen. Black Noodler’s Polar ink, which is what I keep at work. I had to fill it at work since I was headed to work at 6PM and checked the mail on my way out the door. Writes nice, the nib is a bit wider than I would normally call a fine, but quite usable and wet.
dwmatteson
Today's pens are:

Parker "51" flighter with Waterman Blue-Black
Pelikan M205 with Sheaffer Blue-Black
Omas Paragon in Venice Blue with Sailor Jentle Blue.

Good morning, JD, Pep, and everyone. 72F already but overcast. Hope it rains as the forecast says.

Sailor Professional Gear Slim Mini again.
Might use Silver VP with Fiesta Red...want to use up the ink in it.

Pep, thanks for your compliment. Must be the camera biggrin.gif
pakmanpony
Test driving my new Lamy 2000 EF with Levenger Cobalt today at work.
artaddict
Good morning Taki, JD, Pakmanpony, all,
It is overcast here too.

Today I'm using an unidentified (possibly an Admiral but looks like a Craftsman) Sheaffer with Skrip Brown.
It has a Feathertouch 5 two-tone nib that's kinda soft. Feels good to write with.
dwmatteson
Yesterday and today it's a Parker "51" flighter with fine/medium nib and Waterman Blue-Black. When that goes dry, I have a Pelikan M205 with medium nib and Sheaffer Skrip Blue-Black waiting in reserve.

Good morning and Happy July 4th! 67F, no rain last night angry.gif

Today I will be using my Sailor only. Want to use up BB and try different ink in it.
CasmiUK
Rainy and grey - again! - here in Cheshire! How I long for some sun!

In use today a Cross Verve Merlot filled with Diamine Monoco Red and a Cross Apogee Frosty Steel filled with Diamine Prussian Blue.

The Verve, however is almost empty and I may fill it up again with some vintage Swann Violet ink........lovely colour!
artaddict
A rainy 4th of July here.
Still using the mystery Sheaffer with Feathertouch 5 nib (Skrip Brown).
The pen itself is not very pretty but the nib is smooth and soft.
jd50ae
Good morning everyone and a happy 4th to all of my fellow colonists.
I picked up a Pelikano junior today. I forgot what a great feeling and great writing little pen it is. "A" nib, what ever that is and very smooth.
LedZepGirl
Mostly a green Parkette with a broad and flexible nib- for doing a lot of writing.

At school a Parker Super 21.
macthemaths
Pel M200 with Dillo stub and Waterman Havana Brown.

Estie J with medium stub and PR Blue Suede.

Taki
Good morning, JD, Pep and everyone! 72F and dry sad.gif

Still infatuated with my little Sailor biggrin.gif Thinking about flushing ink out of other pens.
Richard
It's a lovely Thursday morning, cloudy but rained out overnight, and I've flushed The Pharaoh And put it back in the pen chest.

The more Onotos I work on, the better I like them. I restored a pretty blue one yesterday, and that reminded me of my own. So out of the pen chest came this black celluloid Onoto the Pen, with its lovely firm two-tone nib.

jd50ae
Click to view attachmentGood morning Taki and everyone else. Hot, muggy and it is going above 90F.
Taki, glad you are enjoying your new pen so much.
The 4th fireworks have me in a mood to use my OldGriz Dragon with PR Dakota Red and my own nib modification.
dwmatteson
Yesterday, I spent the entire day with my Cocoa Parker "51" aerometric with PR Chocolat.

Back to work today, so I'm toting:
Pelikan M 205 medium nib with Sheaffer Blue-Black and
Black Sheaffer PFM III fine nib with Sheaffer Blue-Black.

In the briefcase are:
The Cocoa Parker "51" aero;
Bexley Simplicity/FPN LE medium steel Minuskin stub nib with Noodler's Apache Sunset; and
Yellow Sailor 1911 fine-medium nib with Aurora Black.

Good morning Taki, JD, Richard, Don, and everyone!

The rain cleared up last night in time for us to enjoy the fair and fireworks!

I'm still using my plain ol' Sheaffer Feathertouch 5 touchdown filler with Skrip brown.

And the Sapporo with a brown-black mix.
rroossinck
Morning all,

Today, I'm using these.

The JC Lamy 2000, and the Vanishing Point Blue Kasuri.
jbn10161
This week it's an Aurora Talentum with Herbin black, a Namiki Falcon with Herbin blue-nuit, and a Sheaffer Crest with Herbin rouge caroubier. I'd like to bring back my new Sapporo soon, but it will have to wait. I'm not sure why Aurora nibs are so maligned; I find them to be extremely well designed and made. They're a little stiff, but they're springy, so they have both stability and responsiveness IMO. In contrast, the Sheaffer Crest's conical nib, made out of the generally softer 18k, is far stiffer and less springy.
pakmanpony
Good Morning All, haven't been on much and didn't touch a fountain pen yesterday (I know it's sinful!). Been trying to set up new computers. Sunny and warm today in Arkansas, I'm off the rest of the week on vacation!

Today I plan on using:
Parker 45 flighter with PR blue suede
Parker 75 gold celeste with Noodlers legal lapis
Lamy 2000 with levenger cobalt
Pelikan 200 blue translucent with PR american blue
George
Its a foggy 5th of July here, and today im using

Overcast, dank 5th of July in central Connecticut. Today I'm using:

Taki
Good morning, the weater is a repeat of yesterday- hot and dry and on rain in the forecast.

And another day with the Sailor, now with Sailor blue cart. Hope I can cruise through this Friday into the weekend smile.gif
Pengrump
Continuing to get used to my new Pilot 823 that arrived on the 4th via EMS from Okinawa. A very impressive pen, but I'm still trying to adjust the flow to the way I like it. Also using my Ban-ei, a Sailor P. Gear, and a full size Sailor 1911. Seems to be a Japanese pen day. Many days are like that.
dwmatteson
In a big rush to get out the door this morning, so I ended up leaving my two-pen pouch on my desk. headsmack.gif

Fortunately, I still have my backups: Cocoa "51" aero, FPN LE, and Sailor 1911.

Don

Been using a M400 tortoise, filled with Apache Sunset, which is not only a wonderful writer, but it's soothing my spirits after losing my favorite writer, a red striated M400 (I dropped my 3-pen pen pouch during numerous outings on a busy weekend...I just keep hoping whoever found it is treasuring those pens!).
fitzharry
I've been using my new (ahem!) 1945 Parker "51" with sterling silver cap and cedar blue body and Noodler's Red ink--wonderful pen and great ink color.

My condoleences on your loss. I'm amazed at your acceptance of this loss. I'd be depressed for a week or two (until I replaced them with some new beauties).
