1. The Montblanc Meisterstuck 145 - Hommage to Fredrick Chopin. Excellent choice for a fountain pen! I have one myself, and it's just a wonderful writer.
2. Is that a hunter-cased pocket-watch with the US. Capitol on it? It looks like a beautiful watch...what can you tell me about it? (I think pocket watches are wonderful things).
Today, I have made use of:
My Parker 51 Flighter.
And, more extensively -
My Montblanc Meisterstuck 145 - Hommage to Fredrick Chopin. I was dong a lot of note-writing and memo-writing and all that...and this pen just flies over paper. Very useful when one has a lot of writing to do.

Hi Shangas! Yes I agree the Montblanc Chopin is a very nice writer. The Watch is my first pocket watch. Mom gave it to me a couple of weeks ago while I was in the hospital for gall bladder surgery. I pretty sure it is a very low dollar watch she picked up at the hospital gift shop on sale. It is battery driven quartz movement and says Geneva as the brand. It does have the US capital on the front and what looks like tropical plants on the back. I'm no photography expert but I thought it might look good in the shot.

Hello Taki. Was not going to pick one today but I got talked into it.
It is soooooo muggy.

I used my Montblanc Meisterstuck 145 rather extensively again today. So extensively that I had to fill it up, because I wrote it dry. LOL.
I'm beginning to notice that this is quickly becoming my everyday writer. It's so smooth to write with and such a charmer to look at. I think my CM Design pen might be heading for an early retirement.

Using my new Parker 45 flighter with Binder Blurple for my journal, flushing out my Brown Este and back to the pen case with it. Flushing out the Lamy 2000 to try another ink in it and to work on smoothing the nib a little. Playing with my new gold electoplate Parker 75 with Legal Lapis. And working a Sudoku and Sunday Crossword with my '29 Parker Duofold Streamlined Black and Pearl Sr. Pencil.

I am using the pen that dropped into my mail box yesterday, a Pelikan 400NN. Nice, a bit larger and more comfortable than my 140 black which is still pretty much my favorite small pen. Black Noodler’s Polar ink, which is what I keep at work. I had to fill it at work since I was headed to work at 6PM and checked the mail on my way out the door. Writes nice, the nib is a bit wider than I would normally call a fine, but quite usable and wet.

Good morning Taki, JD, Pakmanpony, all,
It is overcast here too.
Today I'm using an unidentified (possibly an Admiral but looks like a Craftsman) Sheaffer with Skrip Brown.
It has a Feathertouch 5 two-tone nib that's kinda soft. Feels good to write with.

It's a lovely Thursday morning, cloudy but rained out overnight, and I've flushed
The Pharaoh And put it back in the pen chest.
The more Onotos I work on, the better I like them. I restored a pretty blue one yesterday, and that reminded me of my own. So out of the pen chest came this black celluloid
Onoto the Pen, with its lovely firm two-tone nib.

This week it's an Aurora Talentum with Herbin black, a Namiki Falcon with Herbin blue-nuit, and a Sheaffer Crest with Herbin rouge caroubier. I'd like to bring back my new Sapporo soon, but it will have to wait. I'm not sure why Aurora nibs are so maligned; I find them to be extremely well designed and made. They're a little stiff, but they're springy, so they have both stability and responsiveness IMO. In contrast, the Sheaffer Crest's conical nib, made out of the generally softer 18k, is far stiffer and less springy.

Continuing to get used to my new Pilot 823 that arrived on the 4th via EMS from Okinawa. A very impressive pen, but I'm still trying to adjust the flow to the way I like it. Also using my Ban-ei, a Sailor P. Gear, and a full size Sailor 1911. Seems to be a Japanese pen day. Many days are like that.

Been using a M400 tortoise, filled with Apache Sunset, which is not only a wonderful writer, but it's soothing my spirits after losing my favorite writer, a red striated M400 (I dropped my 3-pen pen pouch during numerous outings on a busy weekend...I just keep hoping whoever found it is treasuring those pens!).
