1960's Parker-Eversharp with Pelikan 4001 black.

Have I mentioned my dislike for Photonics yet?

Today I will be using all of my pens (There's only ten!) to continue my snail-mailing. I like to write a bit of the letter with each so FPNers can see more than one. The best one is the Waterman 515, mainly because it makes my handwriting almost readable, but the nib is on the broad side of medium so my writing tends to be a bit bigger.
BTW, whoever started that thread - sorry I can't remember - WHAT A GREAT IDEA!
What's sad is that some of us needed prompting, when it seems so obvious really!

For work:-

Filled my new Pelikan L5 harder than I thought , good job it holds a lot of ink as I don't think I will enjoying filling it very often, it writes well though. Pelikan Blue

Sheaffer Legacy II and matching ballpoint. Sheaffer Black

Pelikan 140 Pelikan Black

Home:-

Rotring Newton Lava, haven't used this is a while. Pelikan Black

A couple of MB clones/fakes I cleaned up. Parker Blue/Black

Still playing around with No Nonsense pen and Italic nibs. Sheaffers Black

Hi JD, that was my plan but our little guy came into our bedroom in the middle of the night, and he said he was cold. I took him back to his room, tucked him in with an extra blanket. Then...I spare you from the detail but the dinner did not agree with him, apparently. I was scrubbing the carpet at 3 am. Oh, the joy of parent hood biggrin.gif He is feeling fine this morning, BTW. And bagel with cream cheese sounds good drool.gif

40 degrees F, currently scattered cloud. Supposed to storm today.

Ran out of ink in Silver VP yesterday. I filled it with a mix of PR Chocolat and Diamine Monaco, but it's not red enough. I might try adding more red today but I've got to order Fiesta Red. I don't know if I do much writing today besides my journal, but I am going to flush out some pens and change ink.

I had to make a trip from Bodhgaya to Varanasi this week and brought along a fine Lamy 2000 filled with Noodler's, a clear Wality ED filled with Parker Blue, and a OS Flat top Jade Sheaffer filled with Parker Black. And I'll be taking a gander at that shop in Varanasi again where I found the Parker Big Red to see if the shop owner had gotten any of his vacumatics restored.

At the office:

Waterman Phileas (blue marble lacquer) fine point, Noodler's Legal Lapis

Lamy Al-Star (blue) fine point, Noodler's Fox Red

Parker Vector (matte black) medium point, Noodler's Eternal Brown.

Hi Taki,
I used Pelikan "Royal Blue". smile.gif

I'm away from home and doing a gig in Denver for four weeks (check out Denver's Avenue Theater) and figuring out what pens to bring was the hardest part of packing.

What I ended up bringing:

Green marbled Pelikan 200 with Noodler's Walnut.
Blue Carbonesque Pilot VP also with Walnut.
Lamy 2000 with Noodler's Air Corp.
And the surprise pick of the group - a new Lanbo two-sided pen in grey that turns out to be a pretty likable pen - it's loaded with Air Corp too.

Only four pens for four weeks? sad.gif

I do hope to find another or two someplace around Denver. Maybe some new inks too. drool.gif drool.gif biggrin.gif

A late good morning Taki. ALready 80F and very sunny. Temps are supposed to drop below freezing, I'm so confused. Oh well, maybe a freeze will kill off some of the ticks. I have never seen so many.

Anyway, I have decided to use for a least a couple of day these three Dani Tac II pens. They all have modified nibs of one degree or another and I am trying to decide on one type of nib to concentrate on.
Judybug
What pens am I using today? None. Zero. The darling grandkids are here until Thursday. smile.gif I'm lucky to be able to string two sentences together in my head, let alone write anything down. A friend of mine once said, "My grandchildren make me happy twice - when they come and when they go." I understand what he meant. rolleyes.gif

Good morning Taki, hope you are well. It git cold real fast, 44F and it is supposed to freeze tonight. Lots of coffee.

Same.
Taki
Glad you were OK last night smile.gif Hope puppies weren't scared too much!

19F, scattered flurries in am, high today in mid 30's, and it's not April fools sad.gif

I'm using the same pens as yesterday, too. I like Midnight Blues a lot, and I relly like the way the Sheaffer writes. The Platinum needs different ink, though.

I'm giving a statistics exam this evening, so I shall rain ink upon their papers with the dreaded Lamy Safari Charcoal XF with Waterman Green. When the converter's run dry (and after appropriate flushing and drying), the pen will rain down Waterman Purple. tongue.gif

Otherwise, it's a Sensa Meridian Noir and Gold fine with Skrip Blue-Black and Parker "51" dove gray aero medium with Waterman Florida Blue.

Hi everyone,
Today I used my Pelikan Pelikano Junior for writing a Birthday card. smile.gif

New to stylophilia, I am trying to use as many pens in a day as I can, so I have on the go right now:

Parker Reflex (loaded with Pelikan 4001 black) instead of a pencil or BP for jotting notes at work;

Waterman Phileas full of blue Quink for writing things I actually care about;

Sheaffer Skripsert (I think, based on the instruction sheet that came with it, a 1957 model) with a modern black cartridge in it, for reflective writing. That cartridge is lasting a long time, too....
Dennis B
This Waterman BCHR 44 that just arrived today. I'm a big fan of retractable nib Waterman Safetys. Filled with Visconti Blue. Sweet writer!

Good morning, JD and everyone. Another winteryday. Will be driving a lot and not doing much writing. Probably Ohto Tasche with Midnight Blues to write a check and Silver VP with Fiesta Red for journal.

Enjoying to read what everyone is using smile.gif

Well, it's the weekend, so I have switched back to the silver striated Sheaffer Balance 875 (with the 0.3 Binderized cursive italic nib), and Omas Grey ink. I've been using that in my journals on weekend for the past year. The cool silvery grey of the ink is calming and lovely as it comes out of the nib, and the shading is delicate; it reminds me to slow down and to be mindful.

Today I am using a Waterman Carene (amber shimmer) loaded with Waterman Florida Blue Ink.
pelikana
Hi everyone,
Today I was using my Herlitz Tornado Classic. smile.gif

My new Cedar Blue Demi 51 from Michael at Northwest Pen works (thanks mike!) with PR DC supershow blue and my wife's Vista Blue modern 51 with PR Purple Haze.

Good morning, JD and everyone!

In addition to the silver VP Di'm thinking about filling my Pel M250 clear with Purple Martin, and try out decimo with Arabian Rose. Want to use orange VP with Ambre, too smile.gif
cmenice
I'm going to fill my new Densho (ebonite) with my new Noodlers El Lawrence ink. Both were a present for Easter from my wife. biggrin.gif animal26.gif
jd50ae
Good morning Taki, hope all is well with you and yours. 39F and sunny and not a soul on the road. Everyone is in church. Blessings to everyone.

I am going to use some big words today so I am bring out the big gun along with one of my M800s.

Thinking 'bout one more letter bur I'm undecided which pen to use - Bexley Continental or Lamy Logo? smile.gif

Today's the day a newly-aquired '45 Vacumatic gets to go out for a run. I have to decide between this post and walking down the hall whether it gets Quink Blue or Pelikan Black.

Hey, I just started this pen wheeze, and the money's going into the pen. Really good inks come later.
Tom L
Inked my red Edson, which has been out of rotation for some time. Cleaned and filled with Montblanc burgundy.

Tended to get crud around the inlaid nib which always bothered me but nice pen.
dwmatteson
Dani Trio Densho raw ebonite firm fine nib with Waterman Florida Blue and
Pelikan M200 amber demonstrator with .7 mm Binder cursive italic and Waterman Havana Brown. Sweeeet!

Today I'm using my Aurora Optima and a Hero 100 I found in Varanasi. Taki, I really really like that Sheaffer Balance Ebonized Pearl that you put up a picture of a few days back. Very nice pen.
