Today I'm writing exclusively with my new Jade Sheaffer Flattop filled with Noodler's Black. I'm trying to decide if this should be one of the four or five I take with me to India.

BTW - the handwriting is just like my own, except that it is neat, legible, elegant and doesn't wander all over the page  sick.gif

Oh, yes! That's what I was going to say about MY own handwriting biggrin.gif

yiterp, I see you got Zhivago...how do you like it? I almost offered a trade but I can't find my bottle....probably buried somewhere.

JRodriguez, when are you going to India? It's black and green the opposite combination, but sounds very nice smile.gif

Let's see:

Last night-
Mabie Todd Swan BCHR for some notes, had another Mabie Todd BCHR lower end pen as back up.

Today:
Mabie Todd BCHR and WM Phileas are with me at work.

I leave for India on Monday (yikes!) and will likely be staying there for 18 months to complete a research project I started last year. I've been spending a lot of thought on which four or five pens to take and right now I'm certain about taking my Aurora 88, a Lamy 2000, a Lamy Al-Star with a 1.5mm and extra M nib, and my Conklin Mark Twain crescent filler. I think I want to take one more and have been debating from among my Densho, a Parker 45, my Parker "51", and now this Sheaffer I just received yesterday ...
sheafferkid
I'm using my 1930's Sheaffer's vac-fill Balance (the pearlized grey/green one) with a medium feather touch nib. In it is Noodler's BB black which does very well in this pen. I also took my Parker 75 RB and my Sheaffer's TM Sentinel MP.

I'm using a newly obtained Waterman Edson Blue Fine point, Visconti Manhattan fine point, both with Visconti Blue Ink and a Pelikan M800 fine point with Pelikan black.

Sonia, combination of Densho and Emerald sounds beautiful! My only black pen is Lamy CP1, but I might fill it with DWL green smile.gif

I have a weakness for green or turquoise (purple as well) in black pens. My black Sailor 1911 has decided it only likes Waterman's Purple. I bought it as an all-business pen for meetings, but I guess it has an artistic heart.
Richard
Remember the Gold Starry safety I mentioned a few days ago? That pen is currently riding in the Piquadro next to THE "51". What fun this safety is -- I loosened its semiflex nib up just the least little bit, and it writes like a bleedin' dream!

Work day...
Silver VP with Legal Lapis
Parker "61" 'Pricilla' with Diamine Tropical Blue
Parker "51" Cocoa with Waterman Havana

Might add one or two more just for fun biggrin.gif
jd50ae
Lamy Stypen M800
JRodriguez
Still enraptured with the Sheaffer, but I also inked up a Parker 45, as I'm headed to a going away camping party tonight.
andyk
Probably go slightly vintage next week Sheaffer Imperial and Parker 51 or 61.

Might experiment with Pelikan Ink in the Sheaffer rather than my usual Sheaffer black or blue.
coco
Parker Sonnet w/ PR Burgundy Mist (pen much happier after replacing Noodlers with PR)
Paul Smith w/ PR Tanzanite
Parker Duofold w/ PR Blue Suede

superfly
My new transparent Kutur, all day long. woohoo!! Beautiful pen...

That, and both Frontiers, the Rotring 600, the Pelikan 140... Ah, too many inked pens, once again...

Today I'm using a pair of Vacs; a 1944 Major and a 1944 Maxima. I guess the '44 is a maxima. It's a Generation I Canadian vacumatic with a '44 date code, so if you want to call it an Oversized, that's OK with me.

I'm toying with the idea of inking up a '26 Big Red.
Taki
Good morning! JD must be sleeping in after taking care of those cute puppies smile.gif

Antother work day, probably the same pens as yesterday. But I might use Levenger Pinky sample I got yesterday in Sheaffer Agio pink with Prendemonium 0.5 mm C pink decimo with F nib.
jd50ae
Hey Taki
Up at 0430 and feeding them. Fell asleep on the sofa. Pretty day so far, sunny and 24 degress. D@%n cat p&$$#d all over my journal.

The 360 and the paragon arte italiana.

Got a retired green Namiki VP and am putting it through it's paces. Amazing as I always thought that Asian nibs ran narrow but the medium is knocking on the edge of bold!

Hello, folks, I'm new here and have enjoyed reading your comments.

Today I'm using my father's 1958 Parker "51" Aerometric in burgundy with Pelikan 4001 Royal Blue for writing in my Moleskine journal, and using a 1998 Sheaffer Lifetime Balance leverfill with its Sheaffer Limited Edition Black Ink for drawing and writing letters.
JRodriguez
Wow. Like fitzharry, I today inked up the pen I inherited from my father - a golden pearl Parker vac. I also inked up a Lamy Vista and my Aurora Optima. I guess I went for pens that wont be making the trip with me to India.
Bobby Check
Parker Late Duofold Black International with fine nib that writes medium and does it so well.

Black Namiki Falcon that is so fun to write with, but not as fast as the International.

Red Pilot Vanishing Point with italic nib that was customized by Pendemonium for those click and write moments when a BP just won’t do!

Lamy 2000 Multi-Color System BP for when I just have to use a ballpoint or... must lend a pen. I love the choice in colors! PS I often use the orange highlighter instead of the green refill.

My desk pen is, for myself, always a Shaeffer with an inlaid nib which is always filled with Noodlers’ Aquamarine or Legal Lapis as the are as permanent as I can find, and I really like them. I find that they seem to clog too many of my other pens.

I keep desk ballpoints for my customers which are at present, a Parker Jotter deskset that I fill with Parker’s Gellpoints refills. Smooth writers and I am told somewhat hard to remove.

The pocket fountain pens often rotate, but the Lamy BP is almost always in my pocket.

My inks of choice for my pocket FPs are Diamine’s Royal Blue and Tropical Blue as I love their color & saturation.

If I am using a Parker 51, the ink that seems to work best without clogging is Parker’s Quink, which I don’t love because the blue seems so washed out compared to Diamine’s blues. Otherwise, I would always carry a Parker 51. It is to my mind, one of the best pens ever made and it feels like it was made for my hand. I compare all other pens to this standard and few meet or surpass the Parker 51.

Bobby, have you tried Diamine ink in your 51? Did you have flow problems with it? I wouldn't hesitate to use Diamine in my 51 because it is more traditional type of ink and not as saturated as PR or Noodler's.

I'm using a Nettuno blue Skipper with medium nib, which I was gifted some years ago.
Now that Nettuno has been purchased by Aurora, I know that Skipper line is going to die and I'm sorry, so I use it everyday. Quite large for my hand, but beautiful.

Morning,JD! I'm going to take one of my Varsities to work as a back up, if my son has not managed to roll the tip of the nib (he did that to one :headbash:) They are good writers but I don't like the smell of ink in it tongue.gif

After reading about Armchop's post o his Legacys, inked one up today for use at work along with a P61, having just cleaned four of these and having filled one feel I have to use it until it is empty as you can't just flush away excess ink.
fitzharry
I have been using my Delta Dolcevita Oversize with medium nib and Pelikan 4001 Royal Blue ink this week, and greatly enjoying it. It's a very smooth-writing pen.
Taki
Good morning, JD and everyone who are up already!

It's my 'Friday'...one more day with VP and decimo. Want to use Pel M250 clear demo with Purple Martin and 61 with Tropical Blue also.
Dean
Good morning everyone.
