This year's show was in a bigger venue, had more dealers, traders, vendors, and reps than ever before. I thought it was excellent, even if I didn't have enough cash to buy what I really wanted. But I'm happy with what I brought home:
- Stipula Netto pot (a steal -- it was the last one Joel Hamilton had, the show was in its final hour, and I don't think he wanted to carry it home)
- Beautiful hand-turned dark green stripey ebonite pen from Joe Csokmay. Very nice. I really wanted the clipless version, but Donnie Winn bought the only one Joe had. It's ok. Another good price. I'm starting to think that it pays to go the last few hours of the show and not buy anything until the last hour.
I shot about a minute and a half of video, just a walk-through really. It is handheld video from a Flip, so if you are prone to motion sickness, you might want to have a paper bag handy. Didn't take any photos, though. I think most dealers/traders don't really appreciate people taking close-ups of their stock and then not buying anything. Plus I didn't have any releases with me. But I think the video will be interesting and will give you an idea of the scope of the show.
