Hello - I'm new to this site, but I have really enjoyed it so far. I decided to purchase another fountain pen. I use my 20 year old Waterman Gentleman (burgandy) at work, and now I want one for home. I think that in looking for the new pen I have held hundreds - and none of them feel as good as the Gentleman. Any ideas on how I can get another one - preferable a green one? Thanks for your help!

Well, the two obvious answers are the marketplace here and Fleabay. Try doing a search
in the marketplace forum on "waterman gentleman".[1] On the bay, try just a generic search
on waterman fountain pen. Waterman doesn't mark their boxes as to the model of pen.
YOU know what a Gentleman looks like, most of the fleabay sellers that list one have no idea
what model of Waterman pen they are selling.

[1] You might be surprised at the deal you might be able to get on a pen listed weeks or months
prior here in the marketplace that never sold.

I believe one of the pentrace members is selling a Gentleman, and in fact, I've been contemplating selling mine (blue) and about the same age as yours.

Actually, it is one of the FPn members who is selling a blue Waterman here.

Thanks for your help - I was able to find one on e-bay and managed to win the auction. The blue one for sale is beautiful, but I'm new to all this and I don't understand the bit about a modified nib. Maybe when I'm more educated and know what the heck I'm doing.....
