hi
just had a nib swap from fine to med. there doesn't seem to be any difference in the width of line?? or it is very subtle.
the 585 stamped on the nib, does this have anything to do with the nib width?? as they both have it on.
the pen is the m250, btw
cheers

If I remember correctly, the 585 refers to gold content and represents our 14k. My Pelikans have nibs marked F, M, B, etc.

Pelikan fine is .4mm and medium is .7mm

The 585 referes to 58.5% Gold, and not the line. As long as you are holding it the same way and pressure is the same I would think that the line would be different but it may not be that noticable to some, I go in and out of fines and meds and they can quite easily blend together.
