I'm looking to find out the differences between the various Pilot/Namiki Custom models (other than price). I'm looking to put one on my Christmas list. Can someone come up with a brief description of each, and perhaps those things that you like or dislike about them?

Much appreciated.

Rob,

The Pilot Custom series has been around since the early 1970s and evolved to several distinct models. To which do you refer? The latest one? All? My preference is the original of which some are pictured below.

After further review, I guess what I had in mind was the current versions. Especially the 74 and the 98. The rest are probably too expensive to ask for, and I couldn't see having someone chase after a vintage pen which they may not even find.

Rob,

I haven't sold any of the recent Pilot Custom pens for some time and only guess they sell for $75-80 each.

Some of the pens in the picture above go for the mid-$100s range. Others, up to $1000.

Check the post I made in this thread and some of the follow-up. Pretty much what you're looking for.

Good stuff. Thanks.

I might have to add a Falcon to the list of possibilities. Decisions, decisions...
