Secondly, IMHO the classified and wanted on the FPN are really difficult to troll and I can't figure how to find anything I'm looking for or get anyone interested in my requests under items wanted.
Even my avitar has a request that hasn't been responded to.
Any advice out there?
What's the trouble with the FPN Marketplace? How is it so difficult to troll? Seems to me that it's pretty easy, but perhaps I'm missing something. (Seriously, I'm not poking my finger in your chest here...state the issue and perhaps someone can find you a workaround; saying that they're really difficult doesn't give enough context to help you.)
The reason that no one has responded to your request for Newhaven patterns is because quite frankly, if you asked a dozen pen people on this board (pick a random sample - don't front-load it with names like OldGriz, David I, Jim Strutton, etc. - that's cheating!) why Newhaven was significant to Parker's development, you'd have at least 7 of your sample scratching their heads asking you what a "Newhaven Parker" was. Ask 'em why the word "Valentine" has anything to do with Parker, and you may get the same response.
You're looking for something that the general pen collectors on FPN may not have much background on, and furthermore, they just don't show up everyday. The folks who have them tend to hang on to them. I know one guy out of Missouri who was selling a Valentine that had a replacement clip that didn't say Valentine on it, but that's probably the last time I saw one for sale anywhere.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but I don't think that there are any hordes of these laying around in any closets of random nOOb FPN posters...however, if you do find one, let me know, and leave one for me!

I'd like one of those Newhaven lizard patterns!

BTW - I do think this is the wrong spot for a self-promoting link out to an eBay auction. Either sell it in the FPN Marketplace/Classifieds for a reasonable price, or sell it on eBay and let the market play it out.
