I bought this ink after seeing a sample on a page of the International Traveling Journal and loved it. However, once I bought a bottle and filled a pen up with it I was severely disappointed. The sample I saw was deep and rich with beautiful shading and written with (I think) an borad or italic nib. I filled my Rotring Artpen 1.1 nib with it and it came out a very dull and light, almost more like a very light purple. I tried it with antoher pen and the same story. I inked another pen with it and it came out almost black. This last pen is a fine point and not particularly wet. What gives? Has anyone else encountered such inconsistancies?
I have had a similar experience. Mine turned brownish. I believe the color is unstable. I'm told PR will replace the ink, so I suggest you take it up with your dealer and then escalate to PR if necessary.
