Just wanted to say hello, i'm not really a newbie to fountain pens, to this board however i am. Currently i have a Faber-Castell F nib fountain pen, but i also have a MB Starwalker (fineliner), and MB Meisterstuck Mozart (roller ball). I'm just starting to build up a respectable pen collection. Being a male there are limited "accessories" we can have and this is one that i think shows personality and character.

I love the idea of fountain pens, all started when i was in junior high many years ago when we made our own paper and had to do calligraphy. Since then i've been hooked, but due to the cost of the pens i only ended up getting a good one now. I had a cheap parker from grand and toy for many years but it always leaked into the cap and i spent more time cleaning it than using it.

But i'm excited to get back into it, i took a 4 year break from keeping a daily journal but i'd like to restart that.

Anyway so far this is a great site and i look forward to learning more!

Cheers,

Shiraz

Ahh, T. O.
Great place to live.
Lots of FP stores (I think).
Have fun collecting... BUT... use 'em all, too!

Thanks!! And i do, i wear a different one everyday! Lately the Faber-Castell has been reappearing in my pocket, but i'm biased because its a FP. But i do like the Starwalker as well, if only my GF bought it in a FP instead of a fineliner.

Shiraz,

Hello and welcome to the FPN! I have been to Toronto more times than I came remember, but I love your city very much. Are there any pen and stationery stores still in business in the Toronto area?

Hi Shiraz, from the suburban wilds of Toronto.

Another Alberta welcome. Is that Shiraz as in the grape, or is there some other reason?

Welcome from Hornby Island......

Ah.. the Big City

Lived there once. There was a great FP store on Younge Street just north of Union Station on the east side. If its still there its worth checking out.

WELCOME
