Noodler's Sequoia on a new green shirt!! 3 drops. How did I do that? I was so proud that I didn't get any on my fingers when I was filling the converter in my Sailor 1911 M.

It does not wash out with a wet paper towel very well. Can't take me anywhere.

I've seen this movie. No, wait, I've starred in this move. How DID that ink get there? I was soooo careful.

Syringe filling a cartridge with PR Sherwood Green an hour ago. Same result on khaki trousers. Good thing it wasn't Legal Lapis or Galileo.

I hope it comes out, Bucolic.

Possible solution:

Gently massage in three drops of dish soap to the spots. Grasping the fabric firmly, pull it taut over your thumb so the spot is over your thumbnail. Place your covered thumb on the edge of the sink. Using a hammer, briskly strike it one or more times. Suddenly the stain will shrink hugely in importance. Repeat as needed.

Sometimes when we shake up the bottle and then open it, minute water particles bubble up and can spread up and out. Those bits might have landed on your shirt. Maybe after shaking the bottle, let it rest for 1 minute before opening?

You need a lab coat.

When I need to fill a fountain pen with ink, whether operating a self filler or using a syringe to refill a cartridge, I always do it naked.

There's no problem whatsoever with getting any on my clothing.

If you're a little shy about doing this while you're out in public, well just look at it as an opportunity to overcome your shyness. After all, filling a fountain pen with ink is one of the great pleasures of life and it shouldn't be hindered by others' hangups.

And of course fountain pens are the official writing instrument of all nudist colonies around the world!

Hey Carlos,

Look on the bright side - at is it's green on green. Would've been worse if it was Baystate Cranberry on your tux shirt or something like that headsmack.gif .

I once got an Oscar for starring in the Great Bubble Burst. Taking the lid off of a Penman bottle usually creates a big bubble - see what is coming? - and if you are not paying attention and stab the bubble with your pen nib, the resulting shower of dark blue ink bombs travels a remarkable distance ohmy.gif .

I thought I had cleaned everything up (apart from the depths of my keyboard rolleyes.gif ) but when we had the office spring cleaning done and the floors shampooed, my carpet had developed a nice little starburst pattern in blue unsure.gif . Luckily it tones in nicely, though it is a little asymetrical.

At least it is not bulletproof and should fade in a decade or so laugh.gif .

If it's not a bulletproof, OxiClean from the grocery store sprayed on 10 minutes before machine whashing should take care of it. Worked great for me on a LARGE stain of Diamine Amaranth that had sat for three or four days.

Well. One little spot is still there. Faded and hard to see on that shirt, but still there. I had scrubbed all three spots with a Spray & Wash scrubber and then washed as usual. But that third spot had time to dry and react with the material before I had daubed water on it. But it's just a regular ink, so it should fade away over time. Maybe.

I had one of my Lamy Safari pens uncap and fall inside my shirt with Dragon Napalm in it. By the time I noticed it had a spot the size of a quarter near my waist. (I looked like I was shot!!). I walked in the house and my wife freaked!! The good news is I got the spot out with Carbona Stain Devils 3 Ink & Crayon... It's a white shirt with green stripes. I can't even tell. I thought it would become a painting shirt right after it happened. As accident prone as I am, I thought I was pretty lucky.

Yeah, apparently that ink isn't bulletproof. I got the same ink in a larger bottle, which makes its name change to Nikita. I've had it do decently in a water-only soak test though.

I think it was your dog.
My Labrador wouldn't do that.

I thought I was the only one that forgot about the 'bubble effect". Nice to know I am not alone.

I am VERY careful when loading Noodler's Legal Lapis. (The only bulletproof I have.)
