I am trying to find a dark blue ink for my everday use. It would be nice if it were waterprroof or permanent so I wouldn't have to worry about that. I would appreciate any suggestions.
I have been using Noodler's Black and want something else for when I want a change from black ink.
Thanks for your help.

Nodler's Blue/Black is very good with nice highlights and color gradation.
Also Noodler's Legal Lapis is permanent.

At www.swisherpens.com there is an exclusive choice of Noodler's blue permanent inks (in the 'Noodler's Swishmix Waterproof' line), where Thahitian Pearl is the darkest.

Tahitian Pearl by Noodlers at Swishers is what you're looking for. Just got a bottle in the last month and it's great stuff!

I want to use my fountain pens as often as possible, so I have been focusing on the behavior of inks on (and in, and through) low-quality paper (loose-fiber paper). This is because I have no choice of paper at my job. I pay for my own ink and pens, but I will not pay for my employer's copy paper and my students' notebook (and notepad and binder filler) paper!
On good paper, Glacier Blue, one of Noodler's exclusive inks for Swisher Pens, looks really good. It's not a dark blue, but it's probably acts the same way Tahitian Pearl does.
On my employer's paper and on my students' paper, Glacier Blue always
expands aggressively (medium lines from fine points and broad lines from medium points),
feathers out from there,
shadows the other side of the sheet
and frequently bleeds through in spots to the next sheet.
As I've reported in this forum and in "Ink Reviews," I have found some inks which behave well or least acceptably on my employer's and students' paper! Search this website for the phrases "loose fiber" and "loose-fiber." These inks include all of the Noodler's-own-label (non-exclusive distribution) colors I've tried, including N's Black (the reigning world champion in this category!) and N's Eternal Luxury Blue.
Therefore, after I finish my bottle of N's B-B, I might get a bottle of N's ELB and experiment in an empty bottle with that ink and a few drops of N's Black, for a completely waterproof dark blue ink which also behaves well on bad paper.

I am partial to Noodler's Gulfstream Blue from Swisher.
