Once again I just can't ink it! Why do I buy pens and just can't put ink in 'em. But I can't keep a pen without inking it so I sit and think then sell the pen to someone else. How many pens have gone through my hands and not been used?

If you ink it, you will write.
Wait a minute. What pen are you cursing? Details? Pictures?

Once again I just can't ink it!
Why?! Put ink in it. The pen might be the delight of your writing life.

If it gives you joy as an object of art then DON'T ink it and admire its beauty.
If you can't ink it and it bothers you just sitting there sell it and don't look back.

Don't sell it! Give it away. It will come back to you ten fold and you just have to find a pen you can ink with 10 of um to choose from!
PS If you are looking for a random address to send it to, drop me a line.

After receiving my Visconti Taj Mahal, not only could I not ink it, but I could not even look at it. It took me 3 weeks to get up the nerve to remove the pen from its box and actually see it. I guess it can be that way with something you've looked forward to for a long time as a dream object. But I assure you: Once I forced myself to look at the pen, customised the nib and inked it -- there was no looking back. I love this pen all the more for the experience of writing with it.

INK that baby, don't sell it. I love my Iride, absolutely wonderful pen. You do not know what you will miss. If you do not love it you can still sell it.

An Aurora Primavera,
A Visconti Titanic,
A Montegrappa Symphony and
A Tibaldi Iride
so 4 out of around 250 pens total- not a bad ratio but still enough to make me think.

You have a bad case of Inkus Interruptus (AKA "ink panic"). A wee dram of Mc Clelland's single malt in a silver quaich is the specific for that malady.

I can't let a new pen sit dry when I get it. The first thing I have to do it choose a bottle of ink and fill it. Most of my pens require work and cleaning before being used and that just makes the desire to do so more. DO IT!! You know you want to.

Send the Visconti to me. I'll be gentle with it, I promise, AND I'll respect it in the morning.

That's what I do mostly with my pens. But on occasion I do but a high priced uninked one.

I know exactly what you mean.
I have a Sheaffer Oversize Balance pen/pencil set that is in near mint condition, but the pen has been inked in the past.
I refuse to ink it as it's just so beautiful. If I ink it, I will use it, and it will become... ugly. I just take it out sometimes and look at it.
so I'm considering selling it...

You should be ashamed of yourself! if you buy a pen, then plan on inking it immediately and writing everyday with it!!!
(Just to sober you up).
