Hello everyone! My name is Connie and I live in North Carolina. I love to journal and am always looking for the perfect pen/paper combination. On and off I have played around with disposable fountain pens but have never been very happy with them. A few days ago I was in Office Max and saw a three pack of Pilot Varsity pens. It was love at first write, but when I went back to the store, they were sold out. I searched the Internet for more and came across this forum.

If a non-disposable pen writes anywhere as good as the Pilot Varsity, then I'm hooked. I have lurked a bit, and this seems like a great place with some terrific people. I look forward to being part of this place.

A warm welcome from rainy New York City. It's so nice to see you here! Warning: turn back now while your wallet's still intact...

You will not only find the perfect pen/paper combination but you will find multiples of such, along the way and you will end up parting with lots of green paper for the white...

Hi Connie smile.gif.

Get yourself a Pelikan M200 (my first pen) or a Waterman Phileas. Affordable first pens, and both are excellent smile.gif.

Hi Connie,

Welcome.. If you like Pilot Varsity, I think you would like other Pilot fountain pens also. Since you just started, I recommend that you look for Pilot 78G, Pilot Knight or Pilot Prera. After this, im sure you will go or more and more pens...

Welcome to the party. I would agree with others suggestions. I started with the Varsity line as well. That was about 10 years ago. Now I'm hopelessly addicted to writing, "Old School"
