Hi everybody,

I came across this forum while looking for information about pens and, after reading for several days, I think is best.
At first, I was interested in some kind of classy ballpoint/rollerball pen to run away from Bic's world and bring some little pleasure to my daily writing moments. Nevertheless, one week of exploring this world has been enough not to want a ballpoint pen anymore. So, now I am looking for a fountain pen able to put up with my job's pace (engineer in a factory); this including carbon copy paper as well as contortionist/upside down writing. Some chemical resistance would be wellcome too.
Currently I own a Parker Sonnet fountain pen, but I prefer not to use it in those conditions due to its sentimental value (no problem if I ruin more expensive pens, though).
I have some ideas, which I will submit in the next days. Sure I will find good advice here thumbup.gif

Bienvenido al foro, navarrico. Welcome here. This is great place with an excellent community of users and the level of information, courtesy and nice people, just amazing. Enjoy!
Have you thought about Lamy All Star range? Is aluminum made...and the nibs write like a million bucks ones. The ABS plastic of the Safari would not be ideal if exposed to chemicals, but is affordable like no other....and nibs easily exchangeable. Obviously a gold one would solve all your problems...and dissolve your wallet.

Hi and welcome too.
Glad you found what you need (a FP).
Models vary, but you'll find one or more soon.

Hola.

Upside down? That's a problem - we need gravity.

Bienvenido al foro, compatriota. Welcome to the forum. I am also an engineer. A Lamy Al-star can be a good choice, if you like that gripping section. May I suggest a rotring 600? I don't have the fountain pen but the trio bp, but I have read very good things of them. Lamy Accent is also quite robust (but be careful with the nib size with all Lamys, they run very wide). Upside down will definitely be a problem with a fp.

Enjoy the forum, but...somebody must warn you...it is addictive!!!!

Welcome!

Good luck finding a pen that will meet all your criteria! The usual suggestions for a pen will come up although a Lamy 2000 will look just about right in the hands of an engineer I would say! smile.gif
