I'm thinking of getting a Meisterstuck Solitaire Silver Fibre Guilloche. I have thought that it is essentially a Chopin dressed up in Sterling, but not entirely certain. I've always preferred a broad nib as I've found medium nibs drying out after some writing, especially on certain types of paper. This comment is made based on my Parker 75s, as I only have one Mont Blanc, a Chopin that my wife has given me as a gift. I love the Chopin, but would prefer it in Sterling Silver, my favourite material for a pen, again based on my experience my few Parker 75s. The Steel model is also very appealing, but the cost difference between the Sterling and Steel for this Mont Blanc is relatively small in Australia, hence my choice. Any comments here?
Back to my main question, I wonder if anyone has had any experience with a broad nib for this model, and thoughts as to whether there may any reason(s) not to choose a broad? I'm sure it will come down to personal preference at the end of the day, but want to make sure there are no known problems with any particularly nib sizes, esp. the broad. If this topic has been covered previously, would appreciate direction to get to it.
Many thanks.
