Hello everyone and greetings from Reykavik. I'm a 47 year old male and have been using fountain pens for over a decade now. I have a rotation of six pens; Lamy Safari, Lamy Al-Star, Retro 51 Postmaster, Diplomat (make unknown), Tombow Havana, and Parker Rialto. Used to own a Lamy 2000 back in the late seventies but didn't like it all that much and got rid of it. I'm starting to regret that now.

Welcome! A number of us have begun with Lamy, a wonderful first experience with modern FPs. A whole world of pendom awaits. And somewhere along the way you will probably also enjoy collecting some vintage pens.

Hello and welcome to the FPN.

Diplomat is a german make whose symbol is a stylize flower (you can check here: http://www.mydiplomatpen.com/) but once upon a time was a Malta cross.
Diplomat is my nick here too!

Cheers,
TMac
Welcome to FPN!

Hi there and welcome.
I've always wanted to go to Iceland and visit the place (yeah, yeah, really) but since I haven't made it yet, I just spend my money (w/a) on pens and inks.
Look at a Pelikan M215 and a Waterman Charleston too!!

Welcome.

Welcome aboard. I have a Tombow Zoom (egg) which is one of my favorites, despite its weird looks.

Welcome. Anything you got rid of can be gotten again! Just ask around and you will find it here! smile.gif

Welcome to FPN! biggrin.gif

My husband and I visited Iceland in 1991 and spent three wonderful weeks there, travelling around the country using the local buses (we had a pass). An unforgettable experience, made even better by the friendly people who lived there! We were so pleased to discover that so many spoke English as our command of the Icelandic language was a bit, erm, nonexistent laugh.gif

Nice to have you on board!

Hi, welcome.. I also started my fountain pen journey with Lamy Safari.. What is the difference between an old Safari and a new one?
