Hi all,
I've heard mixed reviews about the Rhodia webnotebooks, and so wondered if their other A5 offerings are any better?
Does anyone know what the Rhodia Classics are like, in comparison, for example, to Clairefontaine Age Bag notebooks?
Thanks.

I have one of the polyprop covered spiral notebooks. It is reporter style (spiral on top) and grid ruled. I like the paper in it. It is very smooth and seems to accept all of the ink I use very well. However, i don't think it is quite as thick as the Age Bag that I got recently. If I recall correctly there is a tiny bit of show-through on my sample/test page of the Rhodia and absolutely none on the Age Bag.

The only thing I've found that seems to have comparable paper weight as the Age Bag is my Maruman Mnemosyne. I would use the Mnemosyne exclusively if it had a different format. I don't really care for the date/subject on the top of every page.

Anyways, I would buy more Rhodia notebooks in the future.

Eric.

Hi Emma
I use the A4 Classic notebooks for work and they are ideal for this purpose. There is a bit of bleedthrough, but I favour juicy broad nibs, so that probably explains it. They have around 48 pages in each, which is a good size, IMO.
I probably wouldn't use them as a journal, as the paper isn't thick enough, for an all purpose notebook, they are fine.
For the ultimate luxury, have a look at Clairefontaine notebooks; the paper is bright white and very smooth. Another personal favourite!

Thanks! I'll definitely try one - I also want to use them for notes at work, and they sound ideal for this.
