I've been admiring the Bamboo for a while. I haven't seen it in any pen store to take a look at it and was wondering if the cap posts. I definitely prefer a cap that posts. I was so disappointed when I saw that the new Herald's or Glenmonts cap doesn't post.

I believe that the new Herald does post, that was one of its new features. As does the Bamboo, post.

I tried it at the pen show and it doesn't seem to post too well. It seemed like you had to really press it down to get it to stay on tightly. But thanks for the information.

I noticed the same thing, that there is room enough to place the cap in a posting position, but it is not snug. Applying pressure might do the trick, but then I worry about post markings. Ebonite will wear away, being a softer material than plastics.

The Bamboo cap posts very nicely. However, the cap threads are metal, and even though they don't come in contact with the barrel when the cap is posted, scratches are bound to happen sooner or later.
tknechtel
No, it really doesn't post. Well, it does, but the metal threads inside the cap will scratch the beautifully-polished resin barrel. And since the whole rationale behind this pen is how beautiful it is, that's kind of counter-productive.

I love the one I have, but it's really more of a beautifully-designed object that sits in my pen cup, rather than a pen I use regularly!

I have the same response as ZeleniLav and tknechtel. The cap will post, quite nicely in fact, but the metal threads against the resin body would dissuade me. I do not usually post, however, so for me the issue is largely moot. The barrel of the Bamboo is pleasantly elongated, making writing unposted comfortable and practical for me.

The bamboo feels WAY off-balance to me posted.

Agree, the Bamboo, while posting nicely, does seem a bit "off" with the cap posted.
