Sorry if this isn't the correct forum, not sure where to throw this out -

I've seen at least one person mention a pen store in Kansas City. I have family there and visit at least a couple of times a year. What are the pen stores and where are they?

Thanks!

I think it is called The Pen Place. It is located on the bottom level of the Crown Center Shopping Center across the street from Hallmark Cards and just south of Union Station. That is the only one I am aware of that is in Kansas City at the moment.

Ah, I've seen their website. Thanks very much!

Went there yesterday. Their website doesn't mention Noodler's, but they do carry it. Nice salesguy, very willing to demonstrate many inks for me, though he was out of a good number of the Noodler's and PR colors I asked to see. He showed me a bunch of inks with great, great patience, and although he didn't let me dip and try them, it was truly helpful to see his toothpick trails. What a luxury! I want a pen store near me! Except, no... that would be dangerous. It was so, so helpful to see PR Midnight Blues and Black Magic Blue (the latter looking really surprisingly purple!) right next to each other.

One weird note: I asked about how much shading an ink offered, and he didn't know what that meant. Am I more of a FP geek than someone who works at an FP store???

Anyway, I bought three bottles of ink there, and unfortunately he did not do a very good job closing the caps when he sold them to me, so the PR Midnight Blues leaked into its own box and then into the plastic bag I was carrying! Fortunately the bag was sound, so there was little damage... and I tightened those puppies REEEEEEAAAALLLLYYY tight before I wrapped them carefully before getting on an airplane this morning.

Anybody who's in KC, I do encourage a visit - just make sure you tighten the caps of any ink you buy there, right away.
