How is it that this ink is restricted from being sold in Australia? It seems so strange to me... and forces us to buy something stupid in terms of ink volume to take advantage of international postage costs...

How long ago was this? The sales rep appeared adamant they don't make them anymore. I'm like :omg ... I looked at their webshop as well, it was not on the list either.

I will be able to go to Hong Kong this weekend maybe they will have some in their shops there!!

I bought my bottle late last year I think, and they had plenty of stock back then. I can go back and check sometime and see what's happening.

I bought a bottle yesterday in Chicago and the color on paper was identical to Private Reserve Black Cherry. Neither I nor Ed Hamilton (pen dealer here) can see any difference. Maybe he has a weird batch or something. Anyhoo, if you can't find it, maybe you can find the PR Black Cherry instead.

Wasn't there a rumour a while back that this colour was being discontinued everywhere? I don't know if it was true, and I haven't actually looked for a bottle in the UK recently.

Just doesn't stack up. Maybe the issue is just the poor value with the exchange rate, shopkeepers might use manufacturer discontinuity as an excuse to slide by unnoticed for extended periods of no-stock on an item...

The local shop here doesn't even sell PR either. Daymm.

I only know of one shop in Aus that sells PR inks - The Pen Shop in Sydney. You might want to give them a call? Let me know if you want their number and I'll PM it to you.

Thanks Faiye, is that the Pen Ultimate shop in Sydney I think I should've renamed the subject to "Brisbane" rather than "Australia".

Ideally would want them to stock from Brisbane so I can visit and buy without postage costs (could otherwise buy a bottle of Visconti for the same price:) ) How cheap can I get? haha :-) Oh well, poor student!!

Pen-Ultimate is part of the Pen Shoppe chain anyway, so if they have it in any of their other stores they can get it transferred to the Brisbane stores for you

The Pen Shop is a completely different store and the only one that stocks PR. That one's in Sydney unfortunately.

That is an old photo. The Pen Shop is now on the other side of the road, in Shop 03, The Winter Garden Plaza, 1 O'Connell Street Sydney. Go up the short escalator and turn to your left.

My trip to HK generated NO hope either. Not a single shop carried the bottle... it surely is a shortage going on at Waterman, some shops already have it on back-order for months, not sure what's going on...

Melbourne Pen Depot at Chadstone looked like they had stacks of it on the weekend. I figured they had about 8 bottles.
