The
Show Us Your Desk thread has been fun, so how about closer pictures and descriptions of some things on top of your desk?
- favorite accessories, tools, mementos, or scenes of desktop life. Have fun.

The one neat thing is a Chinese seal I had made of my last name. The stone is mostly grey with some green near the bottom so it looks like a forest on a cloudy day. Oh it's about 5" tall with the seal face about 3" x 2". Not the largert I had seen but not a standard size as well!
I will see about a pic later this evening.

Wow my desk is just too messy right now to take a picture of, in fact I should be working on it instead of yakking on FPN! Let's see... There are a couple dozen pens (who'd a thunk it?), can of squeeze cheese, lava lamp, geode stone, aluminum Mountain Dew Bottle (yes bottle not a can!), my new Blackberry phone and all the boxes and rebates, a small bottle of black sand from Hawaii, a Star Trek Enterprise replica that talks in Kirks voice if you hit the button, two computers, a blood pressure monitor, miscellaneous ink bottles, two desk pens sets, a big swiss army knife (thanks Dillo) and a couple of birthday cards... I guess it's not that interesting now that I write it down. Oh well, maybe I'll clean it up so I can find what else is hiding under all the junk!

Ho-hum...
A desk organiser. I use this term VERY lightly! The only things in it that are actually organised are my bottles of ink!
A pen-chest. Made by Visconti. Holds 24 pens in two tiers.
A glass three-ridge, three-well pen-rest. Made in England. The ridges hold the pen in place, the three wells hold spare nibs. It once belonged to my grandmother. She gave it to me and for years, it sat on my desk doing nothing. A couple of years ago, when I joined the FPN, I decided that it should finally DO something. So I returned it to its original purpose, I bought some nibs and a few pen-holders and it's been in use ever since.
A wooden rocker-blotter, covered in red leather. $20 bargin at a bric-a-brac store. Perfect!
Two candles and a box of matches. I use these to heat up my dip-pen nibs when I first buy them, or, in case of blackouts.

amongst lots of paper, I have countless bottles of blue and green inks, antique inkwells, pens and a newly acquired peacock feather, which actually matches my new Iroshizuku Ku-jaku ink.

Will you be turning said feather into a quill?

Notebooks, 3 pen display boxes, pen stand, mixing kit, 18 bottles of ink, assorted pen cases, coffee cup, 2 phones, TV remote, incense, 3 watches, a dictionary, and a pair of scissors.

I gotta clean this mess up!
