What red inks are you using for Valentines day? I am using Noodlers Antietam (Parker frontier) and some Doe Snot(Reflex) ( a tribute to Denis Richards rolleyes.gif ).
DrPJM1
Best reds for me have been American Eel Rattler Red, Private Reserve Dakota Red, Sheaffer Red, and Waterman Red.

Devil Red?

Could someone show a sample? Sounds intriguing.

For Valentine's Day I will be using Levenger's Blue Bahama and PR's Naples Blue

Levengers Cardinal red and PR Fiest red are my favorites for V-day. I think the Cardinal red is a little more vibrant in the broad italic nib I use for signing cards.

Hi,

I was PMed, but as a pen repair person, I must say that red ink is BAD, VERY BAD for pens. It gunks up the feed and stains up stuff.

I had to leave a pen with red ink in my soaking pot for two months to remove the red ink. wallbash.gif

Anyway, should you use red, I shall recommend Quink.

Hi,

Sorry to throw water on your party in the above post, but I must admit to being a bit of hypocrite... Ok, I have Diamine claret in my Pilot. It appears pink. The Pilot is VERY hard to clean, and I have given myself a grand headache...

PR's Fiesta Red
Noodler's Tiananmen

Although Swisher Maroon is a favorite, too - not a true red or anything but lurvely.

Hi there, Devil's Red is a waterproof red made by Noodler's and sold only at Swisher Pens. Here's a sample from that site www.swisherpens.com. If I'm not mistaken, it's one of Southpaw's favorite red inks.

It has to be Noodler's Ottoman Rose! My spouse calls it "The Color of Passion!"

I call it the ink that most resembles a rash tongue.gif

I don't doubt what you say at all Dillo, but I can't give up my Reds! sad.gif I promise to flush out regularly!

I still have to try some of that Devil Red! smile.gif

I will be using Waterman Red in my Esterbrook Tempo Red model CH (purse pen.)

What red inks are you using for Valentines day?

My usual mixture of 60% Noodler's Red and 40% Noodler's Devil Red. I make marginal notes with this ink mixture.
