I took these pictures for a potential trade which did not work (and I am not very sad about it

)
Here it is a glorious gold filled Wahl #5:

Very Nice!
Look everyone. This is Green Gold filled as opposed to the more commonly see Yellow Gold Filled. I can assure you even though I did not take this picture that this picture is not green shifted. hat is the right Green Gold color. AND in the harder to find #5 size in the Ripple pattern. Your pen is actually #659AG and was made in 1922 (that was the only year that pattern was made in #5 size according to the records I have. Nice Green Gold section too! Very Nice indeed.No wonder you are not sad about not trading it.
Here's a tip on early Wahl pen numbering: 659AG= 6 (#6 Pen Size cap and barrel) - don't get confused...at the time this pen was made the caps and barrels were numbered to designate length and girth separately from the nib size) Second Digit "5" designates nib size, and "9" designates the Ripple Pattern, "A" = Gold Filled and "G" is Green. Strangely Solid Gold Bens were designated with the letter B.
Anyway that's enough minutia for now.
