I hope I'm wrong about this...

I had one of Ujuku's black Pilot Lucinas on my eBay watch list, but the auction expired because I wasn't paying close enough attention... Today, I went to add the relisted item to my watch list, and -- now it says "Local Pickup Only". In fact, it seems that the vast majority of Ujuku's pens are now "Local Pickup Only". Since travelling to Japan to pick one up is out of the question, I can only conclude that soon Ujuku's entire inventory will only be available in-country.

Can anyone confirm this?

I would be very surprised. I've seent his happen as a listing error by sellers before.

The last time I ordered from the Ujuku shop was about a year ago and I did it directly through the website, not via eBay. A quick search seemed to show that he is indeed still shipping goods via the website, but I don't really know much more than that. I was about to order some Kiwaguro ink via e-mail... I'll see what I hear back once I send the message.

I certainly hope this isn't the end of Yamada-san's shop - with any luck, it's a computer glitch or a brief restocking issue sad.gif

Saw the same thing with Iroshizuku inks on ebay. I went directly to Ujuku's web site and seens they ship everywhere. So I purchased 3 bottles of ink and paid via paypal. Yep, just yesterday. biggrin.gif

So, hopefully it's either an error, or eBay sales only.

Probably just a glitch - I live in Australia and just had an order confirmed by Mr Yamada.

Let's hope it's only Ebay sales as I ordered a couple of fountain pens two weeks back without a problem through his own website.

I just ordered a Platimum PTB-10000B UEF from them and after some communication added the shipping costs they specified., since I too had a question (They still have more of them currently available). That and some confusion regarding the carat content of the nib just leads me to believe that it's just a translation difficulty. They seem quite nice to deal with and alive and well.

I bought a sailor four weeks ago and had it shipped to me here in Australia - no problems.
