I take minutes for several nonprofits in my area, and I"d like your opinion on the best one to use. I'm about to start refurbishing my 4 (soon to be 6!) ebay esties, and I'd like to use one at my meetings. I have to write very fast. I took my disposable Itoya Blade the last time but the nib is too broad and hard to write with. I have a 1550 which is a lot finer, but I was wondering if a manifold nib would work better for my note-taking.
Thank you all again for fueling my addiction, I have a red double jewel on the way and a copper J after that, and then I must take an ebay-vacation.

I'd suggest that fine and firm are good qualities to have in a nib intended for fast note-taking. Appropriate Duracrome and Master points (imo) would be:
1550/2550/9550(Bookkeeping/Bookkeeping/Extra Fine)
2556/9556 (Fine Writing)
1554 (Clerical)
1555/9555 (these are "shorthand" or "Gregg" nibs, but they work fine for regular writing, too)
The 9128 might work if you don't mind a more
flexible extra-fine nib -- BUT -- these are hard to come by and the price seems to have gone way up lately. This was originally intended as a nib for Pitman shorthand, although designated "Extra Fine Flexible"
The manifold nibs (1461/9461 and 9460) are firm, but the 9460 in particular is the broadest of the three.
