New member. Usual, been lurking, and I am looking for more information on FP's and inks. I have a Sailor 1911 M medium and another Sailor Pocket Pen on the way. Just used a converter for the first time yesterday and I am coming to grips with how that differs from cartridges.

Hi and welcome.
Just wait till you get a piston filler e.g. Pelikan M215.

Welcome.

Hey, back, from Seattle.

I love my Sailor 1911. Wonderful nib.

Just FWIW converters write better for me than cartridges do. I don't know if that's a universal experience.

Yes, you do! biggrin.gif

I decided to register. I am struggling with converters. Need to do some research as to why I end up with some skipping. Just have not found the relevant threads yet. Even after a nice cleaning yesterday, today I am skipping. Guess I need a tutorial.

KC Deacon lives in Carterville, about 40 or so miles northeast of Anna, and Punch, who lives in Nebraska, graduated from the same high school I did in Anna, but several years after I left southern Illinois. Bunch of near-homeys on FPN.

I was born in the Kankakee/Bradley/Bourbonnais area, and spent a later part of my childhood in Galesburg... neighbor wink.gif .

Hey all! Thanks for the warm welcome. Been writing much better the last couple days. But you should all be aware, as much as I want to be an artist, or a writer. Nearly all my pen work is on recycled, state issued paper. Or worst. Simply writing instructions on my forms and signing my name. Any pen that can do that is a real keeper in my book. biggrin.gif
