any thoughts on this pen and what would one pay for one in pristine condition

If you get one fully restored you can get it for around 50$

I have one, and it's one of my favorites. If you find one that works, go for it.

Pristine Condition... Humm. If you want a graded pen it will be much more than $50. Could be hundreds plus.

A very nice pen, usually an excellent writer, one you will enjoy everyday. You should be able to get one of the less flashy models on eBay for $30-ish, resacing by a restorer, will run $30-40. The same less flashy model on our Marketplace, resaced a bit less.
