I am trying to find a big nib for a big custom pen. It will be 7" long capped with a barrel diameter of 11/16". I want to make sure I get a nib that does not look dinky. I have a waterman 58 coming soon and an extra waterman 17 nib sitting around. I just want to get a comparison.

Since it is a daily user, I don't care about flex. I only collect BCHR Watermans, so I am clueless when it comes to any of the post 1930 nibs. Anything else similar in size to a #8?

I know that someone out there has measured the different nibs...haven't they? If not, I will post the measurements. I just bought a #8 and have a Hundred year and one other marked a #17...all Waterman. I will just have to measure them and post a pic when the #8 gets here.

Or someone else could be a hero....
