Bought this at a flea maekrt today.
External appearance looks mint but no box no paper.

The cap ring says gold electroplated shaeffer usa
The nip syas 14k 585.

I'm trying to cut down on gold pen nowadays but I really like the pattern on the barrel and cap.

From what I can gatehred on the web and here, this should be an Imperail right ?
Any imput on year of manufacturing ?

Thanks.

Hi anybody able to help me identify the pen ?
It really looks like a Imprial doesn't it ?
The clip is shorter than usual but some models of Imperial does come with a short clip.

Interesting pen.

Sorry that I don't know much more about it than you do. However, will be watching this thread for more information. Now I'm curious, also.

I find the Sheaffer naming conventions a little confusing. I think I have a Sheaffer Imperial Touchdown with a Triumph nib... but DO I?! (I think so.)

Anyway, Richard Binder has a very helpful reference section at his website. This link here might be helpful to your specific question.

Richard's main website URL is: www.richardspens.com.

I'm hoping Jim (the Penhero.com owner/operator and our helpful Sheaffer forum moderator smile.gif ) will chime in; he knows these modern Sheaffer model names like the back of his hand. I will keep searching FPN for the model name/number but I'm hoping he will post a reply before I find the answer...

This pen is an Imperial 835, c1976, in the gold plated Diamond pattern. This model is a cartridge / converter pen.

Since the first Imperial model from the early 1960s, Sheaffer has made many, many variations, and called them many different names, including Imperial, Triumph, Triumph Imperial, etc.

Cheers,
