Hello all! I am thinking about purchasing this NOS CS set as the first CS to my collection. I don't know much about CS' but I *think* this is a relatively late CS but other than that I have no idea.
Here is the only photo I have a available

I'm not sure, but by the look of the clip(s),I'd venture a guess that your future purchase is from the 1960's. Also, the
use of a solid color would indicate that as well.

I hesitated and didn't win the auction. Oh well!

Probably just as well.
It is a late set and by then the quality had fallen dramatically.
It wouldn't have given you the best start to a CS collection and even possibly put you off for life !!!

These later models are not the best examples of CS pens, the quality and character is not the same as the earlier models with the firm floundering in the wake of the ball-point. However, these are still an amazing way to buy a pen with a gold nib. They write perfectly well, are reliable and simply made and should last a long time.
You haven't missed much, but these unfashionable pens represent great value for users The CS 150s crop up quite often, I have a couple of these and, again, both very nice in use but lacking in character. Great value though!
