Hi
I'm getting a desk pen without the stand holder so it looks like I'll have to have a crack at making my own
drawback is I have not seen a pen stand or a desk pen yet
I'd appreciate some advice / comments on the enclosed sketch
The basic design is for 2 concentric holes simply drilled bottom one to receive nib the top to receive the section & the tapered part of the pen barrel
sketch shows the principle
Any thoughts? weaknesses pitfalls on the design ??
Edit : The pen is a lever filler Desk Pen so no need for an inkwell as such

Looks pretty interesting.
Rather than straight up and down, I'd consider the pen at a bit of an angle into the holder.
Another option you have is to use a pen funnel. You should be able to find them at many woodworking web sites that sell pen parts.
Good luck!

Thanks Tom
Terminology is my weakness here I'll check out funnels
The vertical axis is not critical but I have a tablet pen which is vertical mounted & poses few problems
