Has anyone else noticed that this combination never seems to actually dry?

I just smudged notes I took last week. It is sort of annyoing

I don't have BB, but I have HoD. It dries fairly slowly on a BnR, but it dries. The only ink I have had issues with that are similar to what you describe is PR Ebony Green. That stuff just wouldn't dry. I think it still felt wet after 24 hours.

I had a similar problem with PR Velvet Black and "M by Staples" notebooks. It actually still smudged weeks after I wrote in it, and if my hands are even the tiniest bit moist it will still smudge now, 8 months later...

This is true of a lot of saturated inks when used on smooth/low absorbtion paper. It can usually be fixed by diluting the ink with water; since the ink is so saturated anyway, this makes almost no difference to the colour of the ink.

Thanks for the adive. I may have to go try it. What water:ink ratio is accepted? 1:3? 1:2?
