Finally, my 2 Levenger (Stipula) Veronas made it back from a year long vacation. I am trying to fix these pens due to a piss poor feed or ink transport issue. I fixed one and it works great. The other one, I cannot seem to get it to flow correctly. I get the feed starvation issue with ink not being fed to the feed or nib. I changed out the feed with 3 other ones and still same issue. Also switched out about a dozen converters, same issue. My last resort was an ink cartridge (long) and the pen flows like a river. What gives, man??

Who else has these pens and do you have to use a cartridge to have this pen work?? And why is it that a cartridge works and a converter doesnt?

Some converters are bad. The best ones have a little steel spiral in the reservoir that ensures proper ink flow at all times. Try a better flowing ink: Quink Black works fine and should not cling to the walls of the converter. Alternatively, a drop of InkSafe in the ink bottle should solve your problem. Unlike soaps, InkSafe does not promote bacterial growth in the ink (in fact, if prevents it).

Thanks for the info!!

The problem is that I tried a dozen different converters, and I have done everything else with the excecption of adding inksafe. This particular pen runs flawless with a cartridge and nothing else. It is the darndest thing I have ever seen. I think KCkc had the same problem with the same kind of pen. Well I will continue to try to find a good converter. I tried Waterman, pelikan, stipula, laben, bexley and conklin converters and some no name ones too and still same problem. I guess I can refill my cartridges, inconvienent but it works. I will keep you all posted!!!
