Somewhere on the net, and I think it was here, I saw a tool designed to find the correct depth to set a nib, so that it wouldn't be ground into the cap when the cap is screwed on the pen. I think it was a home made gadget. Can anyone point the way to information on such a tool? I have no idea what search term to use to conduct a search.

Thanks,

Dan

Hey Dan,
If you determine the postion of the cap when fully closed on the body by sticking a bit of Blutack on, (preferably without the section fitted as you're worried about crushing the nib), then just reassemble the pen and compare where the end of the nib lies in relation to the cap?
On both my Duofolds, it seems to be just under 1/4"
