Curious if anyone besides me is going to the NY/NJ Pen Show the weekend of Sept 18


I've missed but one round of this modern incarnation of the show (holiday weekend) and am very happy to be able to make it this year.


I'm hoping to add a couple nice old pens to my personal collection, to grab a couple oodles for resale, and to bring some to sell.




The show has been quite well run.

Hope to see some listfolk there.

Hmmmmm. Seems like a lot of heavy hitters will be there... You, Zorn, Binder, Mottishaw... (Sp?) Makes me want to go and buy some broken pens just so I can have them fixed in front of mine eyes......

I'm pondering coming.

You will have fun. It is a solid show.

But, i've been on a diet and exercise regimen the last few months. I'm not as heavy a hitter as i was.

I'll be there. Not sure exactly when I'll be arriving, but looks like won't be until Friday evening.

I was thinking about it ... but then I bought another Swan, so need no further temptation.


I do have a couple of pens with (probably very simple) issues; I should get to one of these this year. I see no sense in owning pens I don't use.

I'll be there, too. Last year was my first time at the show (and my first show, period); it was a good time.
Sunday's still up in the air, but I expect I'll be around on Friday and Saturday.

I plan to be there--not sure which days, depending on the weather (sunny September weekends are tough days to pass up). Most likely Saturday though.

I'll be there. Not sure which day, but its only about an 45-60 min drive for me. It'll be my first show. I already have 2 pens in mind to bring that really just need a little tuning I believe. I'm assuming I'll be bringing home a new pen or 2 also.

I hope to be there Saturday in the PM.

I'll be there Saturday, and possibly Sunday. I want to see if anyone has Targas, so that I can hold one and decide whether they'll be my next pens to pursue.

Yup, Mike Bloom, Mike Dvoretz and I will be there. We will be looking for some nice finds and also will be promoting the 2009 Long Island Pen Show coming next March 21-22. We may also have a pen or two to trade or sell. We are looking forward to a great show in New Jersey. Maryann and Steve are such wonderfull show hosts we are sure to have a great time. It will be great to get together with pen buddies again.
