Hi everybody.
I've been using FP's for about 16 years. I've recently gotten back into them more seriously, and was thrilled to find this great forum.
Nearly all of my pens are daily users with the exception of one Cartier and one old Waterman, and the dip nibs.
I've been lurking for a while, and reading a lot. Wow...you guys and gals really know your stuff!
I look forward to learning more, and getting to know you all better.

And another big Connecticut welcome! I'm a bit further from you, way down in Stamford. You will enjoy yourself here but by all means hide your wallet! I got a thrill this morning. I actually found two stores (in Westport and Greenwich) that sell bottled ink. Brands like Aurora andWaterman. No doubt at high prices though

I agree with the hide your wallet part. In the past 6 months (when I started obtaining fountain pens) I have spent more than I care to admit on pens and ink. But it beats donating the same amount of money to the casinos

Looks like we've got a CT mini-club starting here!

There's a very good shop on the Boston Post Road in Fairfield. Fairfeld Stationers has Lamy, Parker, Sheaffer & Waterman pens & ink (mostly msrp tho) It's the only B&M store I've seen outside NYC with what I'd consider "a selection" of fountain pens...

I was in a small store in New Canaan the other day--La Plume Doree--that has bottled ink and seemed to have a fairly good selection of pens--lots of Auroras for example. I didn't browse too long-bought some Aurora ink and scrammed! I did notice that they charge list price though, not surprising. I wish Marks Bros. still existed (in Greenwich).

Hello and welcome to FPN. Sounds like you've got quite a bit of experience with FP's - glad to have another veteran around. Hope to see you around the boards.
