Howdy Folks!

I personally find ink scans to be very useful, so I'm hoping that these ones will be for someone else. A few of these I did awhile back for someone on the board. Sunday nite, me and my two oldest sons got a little adventurous and decided to dip and photograph some more of our growing ink collection. Please forgive my horrible hand-writing. Let the ink color speak for itself. smile.gif

For the most part it seems that the photo's accurately depict the true ink color, with the one exception being PR-Tanzanite. For some reason the photo came out blueish... the rest (I think) look good.

Enjoy.

Dave

This is incredibly useful. Thanks. I especially appreciate the fact that you traveled from the future to share them with us.

Oh yea... ignore the date on the photo's. I didn't feel like taking the time to set it. blush.gif

Thanks for these excellent scans. Going by how the Tanzanite looks on my screen, I'd say that you've got the colours just right in the images.

Thanks for the scans. It is great to have multiple inks on a page, so any color-shifting is more obvious. Also, it's very helpful to see a lot of the blue / blue-black inks together, because the differences can be so subtle.

Only one problem, it didn't make actually choosing between them easier...I want them all! headsmack.gif

thanks, these are great. but.. uh... which is your favorite (like, all-around)?? is that a fair question? okay, pick two. still not fair? okay, top three?

Wow, very colorful. Nice job, and thanks for taking the time to do that. Out of curiosity, did you use a still camera to upload these?

Thank you so much. Favorite? Hmm... that's a tough question. I like so different color's. So far I would say my top one's are DC Super, Visconti-Blue, Caran d' Ache-Sunset, PR-Sherwood Green, Noodlers Eelskin Blue and Viscont- Burgundy.

But this could change if I get a new one I like more. I love variety... I've got about 6 more inks on my "want" list which I'll try to post when I'm able. smile.gif

My pleasure to do. I've been wanting to do it for awhile. Yes, I simply took photo's of the sample's with a cheapie digital and uploaded the images.

Blessings,

Hey... wait a minute, Melnicki. I've just realized who you are. I should be thanking you for your numerous scans. I've used your scans many times as a reference point to determine which inks I want to buy. smile.gif

Since this last scan, I've received many more colors of ink. My plan is to do another major ink scan of the new colors, as well as rescan the first images so they're clearer. So be looking for a ton of new scans of the next couple of weeks. smile.gif

Blessings to all,
Dave

I'm glad to know they're useful. Scans have always helped me a lot. Like I said, I hope to put forth a big effort. smile.gif

Wow, VERY nice! Thank you so much—I see what you mean about the PR Tanzanite; I do think it's not quite so royal blue as it looks, but more on the dark/purple end of indigo?

Only problem: Now I want Noodler's Navajo Turquoise and the Eelskin Blue one too.... wub.gif

I wonder if they were affected by traveling backward in time for 34 years, though? I guess this makes all the inks "vintage." wink.gif

Note to self: make sure the camera date is set before taking pictures. eureka.gif
