hi i found a parker 51 and the nib and filling mechanism areok but the cap and body are a little damaged and the cap is like rusty
what can i do to clean them so they look ok

Hmmm... If you can afford it, I would suggest sending it of to Richard Binder (no affiliation, just a very happy customer) to get restored. The man is a pen magician. He is really good at adjusting nibs to write magnificently, and he specializes in Parker 51 restorations.

Failing that, I would suggest you look for some help in the Parker specific areas of the website, or maybe under the repair and restoration section.

Tom Pike in Washington state does great restoration work as well! He's an FPN member also.

Richard is excellent and Ron Zorn from Main Street Pens restored mine and Man did he do a good job!

Phone lists etc. are down at work but I just checked and he is TOM PIKE here on FPN. Send him a PM and I am sure he will respond to you. He's a great guy, very friendly and helpful.

I have heard great things about Ron Zorn too but have not used him personally.
