This is an uncommon Visconti Copernicus stylographic tipped pen that writes a lot like a roller ball or ball point with fountain pen ink. Stylographic pens have a needle like tip in a hollow tube and when the pen is pressed down on the paper the needle moves up into the tube and opens like a valve to let ink flow to the paper surface. When the tip is raised from the paper the needle drops and ink flow stops. Visconti made a limited number of stylographic Copernicus crescent filler pens and this one is in used but fairly good condition. No brassing on the crescent, clip, section tip or cap band, a little nick is in one spot on the cap band but is small and is not very noticeable. The pen is numbered on the crescent 939 of 999 pens. The box and papers and a bottle of ink are included with the pen. Price includes shipping via the Post Office in the USA and elsewhere depends on the postage required to ship it to you. I take Paypal, money order or check if we have done business before. Price $225

Hi, I gotta ask you - it looks like the stylographic nib section may be changeable (screw out) and a regular Visconti nib inserted? Is that true. Gotta say - this is a very good price - but I "shopped victoriously" and the big bad bay gave my money to someone else smile.gif
Thanks for your time,

Hi

The stylographic nib piece is attached to the pen section and sac. You can't just unscrew the stylographic tip and screw in a regular nib. I tried putting the stylographic section and attached sac in another Visconti Copernicus because I wanted to use the green pen as a fountain pen, they do swap out, but the cap of the Copernicus stylograph is solid inside about 2/3 to halfway up and you can not screw the cap back onto the barrel on with a fountain pen nib on the barrel in place of a stylographic tip. it sticks out too far.

Thanks for the interest.
