the other day while chatting to a local b&m pen dealer I was told of a local guy who makes his own ink sacs from the pure latex that one can buy in craft supply shops...
what I am curious about is... how would pure latex rubber... the non-sulphured variety... unlike that used for standard ink sacs... fare with continued contact with ink ???

We had the equivalent a few years ago when some of the pixi dust was left out of a bunch of sacs and diaphragms. They turned to goo very quickly, and were very nasty to remove. Not recommended!

Thanks Ron...definitely was not sure of the latex idea... sounds good but there obviously is a reason stuff is done to it otherwise it would be used as is more often... pity I did not have the chance of finding out and speaking with the guy... the person I spoke to seemed to think that the fellow had been doing it a bit... would definitely be a neat idea if it was possible
