That is one good looking pen. I am with the seller on this one in that I have never seen that color.

Holy buckets! That's over twenty times more than my most expensive Estie!
I could buy an MB for that kinda money ... it flies in the face of all those nice things posters have said about Esterbrooks in that contest thread.

The last one of these I recall seeing on ebay last year went for around $500. This is truly one of the most prized of the Esterbrook pens, perhaps even more so than twist fillers since these are actually usable. There aren't too many other companies who used a plastic like this that I am aware of (I have one small pencil in a similar plastic, but it is definitely third tier and not as nice a color). A nice crack free, good colored example can bring top dollar and IMO, is a good investment.

For another reference,pg. 284 of Paul Erano's Fountain Pens Past & Present shows in the upper left corner a
set made in the same color.

I have just one of these in my collection. I paid around $200 for it about 6 years ago. I thought it was a fair (not good, but fair) price at the time.

I have a pencil like that yellow one, but the clip is broken off. I bought it that way - not cheap, but certainly less that what that one currently up for bids will go for! I can replace a sac, but I wouldn't want to attempt any surgery on this one. Does anyone know of someone who might be able to repair it?

There is just something very soothing about that shade of green.
The closest thing I have is my Libelle Sea Breeze.

Great color on that Green one and some real beauties in David's pic! Just started going thru some bags of "lower tier" pens that I got recently (approx. 900 pcs. of all shapes sizes & colors, LITERALLY!). So far one 2-hole Dubonnet Red (?) PCL, 1-Black PCL w/3-ribbed clip & recessed cap jewel, SJ Black FP, Copper LJ w/2-hole $-pen cap & SJ Dubonnet Red w/2-hole $-pen cap.
Only 800 & something to go...

PS--Fingers crossed on some of those Green marbled beauties

Hey I think that's the example I have too. Close, but no Ceegar as they say.
Say, David, some of those pens look familiar.
